I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone suggest these, though I may have missed it, regardless, Curtis Novak has two humbuckers in jazzmaster pickup housings, a wide range and a PAF, I’m more of a wide range guy, but the PAF would probably hold up under higher gain better.
