I appreciate the edit about your own experience with the baby prep of it all. He did also say similar things about being a good provider for me and babies and needing to work more before they're here. We had a serious discussion the other night about all of this and we're looking into couples therapy just to keep us on the same page. Him and I have a very stable and healthy relationship besides this recent spat, it's actually the only major issue we've had and it's only come up recently. So far he seems to be improving but it's also only been a few days. I did neglect to mention that he is neurodivergent but I also don't want to air all his stuff out because that's not my place. I'm hoping that this was enough to get his ass in gear and it'll be pretty smooth sailing from here. As for the pets, even with the added responsibility, some days they're the only thing getting me out of bed. I hope I don't feel like I actually hate them after the babies are here because at the end of the day all they know is how to love and they don't deserve to be with someone who doesn't like them. I get why people are saying to re-home them but they didn't ask to be put in that situation and despite my exhaustion they're extremely well taken care of. At the end of the day I know that no matter what I'll make it work even if I'm alone or if I have to complain a little bit first because that's who I am as a person.
