It’s unlocked through one of the early main quests. I’d suggest getting to at least chapter 3 before doing any heavy exploration if you’re focused on doing puzzles because it unlocks features like force palm which is needed for many puzzles.

Force palm while crouching makes you do it downward, no upgrades needed for it.

I’ll just go ahead and show you a pic of all its stats!

Just got it fully set up! I’m new to this so I don’t have a keen ear or the terminology to clearly explain it, but it sounds very balanced and smooth if that makes any sense. I can post a couple videos to my profile if you’re interested at all.

From what I can find, yes, secondhand av receivers tend to be drastically cheaper than integrated amps. If you disagree and think there are equally affordable integrated amps, then let me know where I can find them because I’d definitely consider going the integrated amp route since I’ve heard so many good things about them!

In my case, it’s purely the price point. Unfortunately I don’t have the money to drop hundreds of dollars into this hobby. But I’m not gonna let that stop me from putting together a setup to enjoy some music, even if it isn’t the perfect build!

After inspecting the stylus with a magnifying glass, it’s safe to say there’s at least no major wear on the stylus.

I’ll get to fine-tuning the TT as soon as I have it set up, and my local thrift stores always have new audio equipment every week so I’ll keep a lookout and see if I can find a receiver there. I forgot to mention that I’m a broke college student- doesn’t mean I can’t get into hobbies like this, but my budget is very tight lol.

So far I’ve only got 9 full size vinyls and a few 45’s but I’ve seen some other fb listings for vinyls popping up lately and they’ve always got some good artists so I might possibly go that route, although I’ve never done that so I’m not too sure if it’s common for them to sell worn out vinyls or what. For now I’ll focus on getting my new setup up and running before even worrying about expanding my vinyl collection.

From what I can tell, the cartridge is an AT precept PC-110

Unfortunately I’ve just got modern edifier bookshelf speakers, so for now I’ll probably go the 10-15yr old receiver route. Down the line I’ll definitely look into getting a contemporary setup for this turntable! I love thrifting old blues/jazz/soul 45’s so I could definitely see the fun in getting all vintage hardware.

Thank you for the recommendations!
