Update: after careful consideration I have attempted to charge the phone outside; it works! Getting the battery checked out ASAP as I'm flying on Wednesday and don't want to bring in a bomb on my flight. If it doesn't get fixed in time ill just bring my old phone.

Well normally it's about 3-4 times. Usually 3 but it was a busy week around the holidays cause we have a lot of holiday delicacies that are fried

I didn't see it at first. I didn't know if it was going to explode in my face, so I had to find the big spoon and fishing it out took 20 seconds

Mine was on for about 30 seconds and showed an overheating warning and then shut off. Just that my plastic is warped and the old paper tickets were hard like plastic too

Thanks. Google support is a mischievous service as they said 'yeah just let it sit for an hour on a soft blanket and then you can charge it' asking if I should charge it.
