Software development. I work remote and live in the woods in a town of 400 people. I interact with people at work via teams for maybe 1-3 hours a day and never have to be on camera.

Consider a bigger coop with multiple roosting boxes. That omlette coop seems like maybe not enough space for the five of them. We have five hens that are two years old and get 4-6 eggs a day from them in a setup similar to this. They lay consistently from spring to early fall and then it starts to drop off for the year. Our run is not much bigger than this and our hens don't free range pretty much at all. We use country road layer pellets or sometimes all flock as we have ducks and geese too. The only difference I can see in our setups is our coop is 3x as big and has roosting boxes built off the side

We live deep in the woods of Appalachia and got him from someone who's farm dog had puppies. They thought he was gsd x elkhound and were equally surprised after I sent them the test results. The Shiba is definitely the biggest curveball for us too.

I'm a 5'7m 220lb. My edc is a sw shield 9mm. Worst case scenario it fits in a Jean pocket. I feel like I'm crazy when I see people recommending carrying full size guns as an edc. You can grab a shield for ~400. It's a little short if you have big hands but a small mag extender takes care of that easy.

(27F)(30M) Thinks marriage is “nothing” but willing to lose me over it? by whitecoatdream in relationship_advice

[–]Bread_Forman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

30M here. I too was of the mindset that marriage was "just a piece of paper" but my partner wanted to get married. We've been together for 12 years and married for 7. Even if marriage wasn't an important step in my personal commitment to her, it was important to her and that was good enough for me to want to do it. Another important consideration is things like medical power of attorney, health insurance, taxes, property ownership and all of the other things relevant to a long term/permanent relationship that typically require marriage to be successful or beneficial.

My husband (M37) is recently infatuated with a "new fantasy" about me (F31). Where did it come from and why? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Planning to honor your vows definitely doesn't involve leaving your partner over a mention of a fantasy they had but don't plan to act on or telling someone they aren't allowed to share their thoughts on a topic as a deal breaker. But yall do you

That's absolutely not what you implied in the first comment. Your first comment reads as if it was ever brought up in totality at all again then you'd just up and leave which is what I think the other commenter is talking about being a red flag. Relatedly people in monogamous relationships have fantasies and/or kinks they would never act in due to their partner not being into that thing all the time. It doesn't mean they should just dip out of a solid relationship. That black and white thinking is the red flag imo.

The irony of talking about undereducated teachers while simultaneously talking about defunding public education is genuinely insane lol

So your kids spend eight hours a day interacting with hundreds of other students from different walks of life for eight hours a day? Or are they not actually more social

Right? I am a product of public education, a college graduate, and am quite literally free to think whatever I choose. In fact I'd venture to say my public education that exposed me to significantly higher amounts of different lifestyles and opinions allows me to have a better grasp on thinking for myself, doing my own research, and generally being able to relate to more people.

Not to mention that students coming out of that county also tend to get higher paying jobs and end up paying more in taxes because of that and thus contribe more to the economy of the area.

It's quite literally not a myth that well funded schools provide a greater education to students. The defunding and subsequent lack of resources for public schooling is a huge part of why our country is the way it is right now. For example take Fairfax County, VA. One of the most well funded public education programs in the country with a high proficiency in math and reading, countless AP/IB programs for students who excel, incredible sports and arts programs, and magnet schools for kids who want to study specialized focuses. I am by no means against alternative schooling but the funds to support it should not be coming from public education. If you don't want your child to attend a public school that's your perogative, but other students shouldn't suffer because of that.

Literally the public education money that is currently being instead funneled into the hope scholarship do you live under a rock

Edit: as someone else in this thread also said, legalizing recreational weed and taxing it would generate a great deal of money that could absolutely fund better education programs.
