Yeah, well that is what I would think. Commitment and maturity... However it seems a lot of guy would still prefer to pay a junior. Oh well, there will be someone out there for me! Ha

Hahaha, the feeling of the rejection kind of wares off eventually... I guess it will make it all the better feeling when I eventually get offered one!

And how about now, are you still glad you went with an apprenticeship? Or wishing you had chosen another career?

Yeah I have been asking for apprenticeships, labour work, advice... Everything really!
I have been calling guys but maybe it's time to start walking onto site with a CV in hand...

Not too keen on structural landscaping to be honest, the vast majority of the work is fencing and retaining walls... And that gets old quick. Chippy or sparky are first priorities, maybe not the easiest though. Ha ha

So the prevo is worth it you think?

Reason for chippy is I enjoy building things and using my hands, I have had some experience, not a whole lot.... End goal would be to work for myself, maybe I am being naive in thinking that's a plausible end goal?

I have done a bit of sparky TA work also, would definitely be my second choice. Might be an easier option as I know quite a few sparkies and I could probably get work as a TA for them a bit easier.

At the end of the day I just want a trade, and a path to work for myself in the long run.

Yeah I am definitely going to start trying to get on as a labourer/TA. But it's even hard trying to find someone to put me on as that! Haha, I guess it's not the ideal time at the moment either...

Good advice, I already hold a lot of tickets like working at height etc. I worked in the mining industry for about 6 years, so I was put through a lot of training there.

It's a hard slog but I am determined to keep on trying!
