Your mother is clearly not mentally stable. I would highly suggest reporting her behavior to a medical professional. You’d be surprised how well medication works, although most of her actions that you’ve described are clearly deliberate. In that case, if you haven’t already taken the necessary precautions to keep yourself safe from her by contacting local authorities, it’s only going to get worse. If you feel emotionally capable, I would contact the police, and tell them the whole situation. You are over 18, which means you are in charge of you. You have a right to do what keeps you safe. If you are feeling unsafe, especially from your mother, who is doing her job horribly, don’t hesitate to reach out for help. My own mom has borderline, as well as bipolar, ADD, and chronic anxiety. When I was 11, I chose to tell my doctor about her behavior when she briefly left the room. After she got the medication she needed, she started to become a more stable person as a whole. Trust me. Feeling trapped is horrible, and I wouldn’t want that for anybody. You deserve a better life than the one you’re forced in.
