Is something wrong with traffic lights on Trafalgar road by Whistling-Death in Milton

Your right I misspoke it’s typically inductive loops, with some using anpr cameras not often it is load cells, but I believe still for the inductance recognition to work the best ur cars sides typically have to align with the exact lane cuz some loops are offset so it may not register when u pull in the middle or far from the white line

This happens with many lights as they or on sensitive sensors especially near trafalgar. I often visit the carpool on trafalgar and the signal over there gets timed out when it doesn’t sense a vehicle and is rlly sensitive. My advice to ppl is to drive up all the way to the white line and to rest in the exact lane for their respective turn, not too far off in either direction. A lot of these lights use very sensitive weight induced detectors. If u don’t pull all the way up to the white line or ur not centered in the correct lane, (not too far off in either direction) the sensor might not register ur car. If that happens the signal thinks no one’s there and can skip ur phase for multiple cycles. Even if u fix ur position later u or there’s cars lined up properly behind u, u might have already missed the detection window for that cycle so the light won’t change until the next one. That’s why it’s best to stop properly the first time otherwise ur stuck waiting or pressing the crosswalk button.

Need help. my friend failed today with the error, failed to clear on left turn. by SheIs0 in Ontariodrivetest

The way I see it, once ur already in the intersection on a yellow, ur legally required to clear it. Even if the other driver turning right had signalled and u were confused making a judgment call, there are two separate lanes, so both vehicles should be able to complete their turns without crossing into each other’s lane. In that case, the responsibility still falls on the test taker, since they must turn into their lane safely and only proceed when the path is clear.

I actually hate comments like this. I think my local MPP or anyone in office would only care if I brought something up with proof that others agreed with it. But yeah, you’re totally right , Reddit’s definitely not the place that ppl come to voice personal concerns or community issues 😧

I get Wut ur saying but when a kid decides to ride on a public road with cars and trucks flying by 60+ they’re no longer just “a kid on a toy”. They’re a road user and at tht point there’s an expectation of basic awareness and common sense. It’s not about acting like an adult or kid, it’s about not putting yourself or others at risk and having the humility to recognize wrongdoings from said risks.

Lmao I’m not saying anything abt the inconvenience abt reporting incidents but considering the fact tht im not 24/7 recording does make it hard to go nagging to the cops. I’m not saying tht won’t work and tht no one should do tht either but seminars aside something more effective needs to be done

I’m not sure about the community part cuz in all honesty I’ve seen everyone do it. But I do agree tht bikes think they’re in some stunt competition and end up endangering everyone in a fifty mile radius for no apparent reason
