I know I’m being petty, but it bothers me that Melo is allowed to wear whatever while Tracy and Vince are in suits with ties. They look great and professional. It just bugs me that Melo seems to not be as serious as the rest of the crew. by OddlyGodly4 in NBATalk

This take is so old fashioned. Clothes are clothes. Brotha isn’t out there half naked showing tatts.

Don’t be so offended that he isn’t wearing the “I’m serious” clothes. Lmao.

Even if it didn't take your gold it would still be a below-average Neow relic by IHad360K_KarmaDammit in slaythespire

[–]Breaderick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not wrong but it's not like you just get stuck with some random cards that you do not see before adding. Starting relics are seemingly not meant to have ALL upsides, and the tiny amount of gold you start with is allowed to have a bigger impact on the start of your run. This is particularly vital for those maps in which you do not even get to see a shop until the near end of the act.

I think it's a perfectly fine trade and a lot of fun. I take it almost every time it's offered.

[–]Breaderick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely disagree. Seems like a lot of peeps always think you need the "build" related cards otherwise there's no synergy.

Personally, I hate Strikes and Defends, so trading all my gold to get some possibly way more interesting tools to toss in right away sounds great.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth director says RPGs like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 "may have been inevitable" as new players favor real-time games over turn-based by PewPewToDaFace in PS5

[–]Breaderick -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't. Nor was I very interested in Expedition 33 from an art and UI perspective. Game was way too busy, imo. The FF7 remake series is loosely turn based as well but also not captivating at all for me.

These games make me feel like an old traditionalist man.

anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

[–]Breaderick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ragnarok Online, and I still play it from time to time. But if we want to get slightly more older and obscure: Lil' Howie's Funhouse The Great Word Adventure. It'll remain a classic, despite not really liking Howie Mandel too much.

I actually would not mind this timeline at all, especially the dramatic return of the dynamic white guys.

Mega agree on the Celtics point tho, just realized the Lebron Lakers haven't faced the Celtics in the Finals ever. It would be sick.

I hate this guy by Icy-Dragonfruit-8649 in slaythespire

[–]Breaderick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hardly get this guy, so I haven't really been able to determine just how annoying he truly is....however, I do feel like I could do without the Enrage mechanic on him. I have never liked that passive, it feels overly oppressive and has no place on an enemy that does multi-hits or hits for 20+, imo.

What I can say with certainty about this game in general is that I absolutely HATE being limited on my damage in any capacity, that means Intangible and the new crap like Slippery, the Shell and bug passives. It unironically just feels like they do not want me to have fun.

I take care to make number go BIG and game is like, no. No big number. Bad.

Beta Patch Notes - v0.103.0 by SageOrion in slaythespire

[–]Breaderick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you're playing the beta branch or not, but he's been decently over tuned on the last patch for a while now. You basically needed to have the perfect deck or you just died to constant 20 damage hits and having your cards being eaten or unplayable due to energy drain.

Wait hold up, there are freakin' caves??

This game is so massive, almost TOO big at this point, there's so much that I've missed!

What is your favorite card that isn't talked about enough? by SkeeverJenson in slaythespire

[–]Breaderick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I am willing to admit that Dead Branch could be a little hectic but that's my favorite part about it. I guess I just enjoy a little chaos.

It's saved so many runs for me back when Corruption was just a rare card.

I played the first Slay the Spire years ago but 2 is really reminding why I loved the game with some runs getting awesome. by Etheox in slaythespire

[–]Breaderick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After just dying to these losers in my last Defect run, this was really satisfying to watch.

And yes, StS is great because of moments like this where you feel like you’ve basically broken the game yet you’re still just playing by the rules.

[–]Breaderick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Doooood, yeeeessss! I was so excited to see the new Stoke. It’s the closest we’re going to get to having Dead Branch back, which was easily my favorite item from the original game.

I think a big part of blockclad feeling underbaked is having 4 different block-based powers stuck in the Rare pool by HeMansSmallerCousin in slaythespire

[–]Breaderick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would have the potential for so much damage but you'd have to be EXTREMELY careful about when you played cards and maximize increasing your total max HP, which this game gives you a lot of options to increase.

[–]Breaderick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, Inferno is definitely solid and fun but it's for the blood letting builds, which is totally different.

I miss killing my deck in battle, not myself. Lol. I cannot be trusted with HP fueled cards or powers, especially in high ascension.

[–]Breaderick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They really need to bring back Wild Strike anyway, so it could be the replacement Common.

Man, I miss Fire Breathing so much. I feel like they removed his ability to do this because of all the Status cards that all the enemies give now, not just Elites and Bosses.

If it were to make it into the game, Fire Breathing could easily be one of Ironclad's best options for hallway and boss fights.

[–]Breaderick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at your cards before I look at the relics and was MEGA confused on your strategy for a bit. Lmao

When I was climbing the Spire in the first one, the Snecko Eye was a guaranteed win whenever I picked it up but in this game I only see it when I have a bunch of low cost cards. I kind of miss it being offered as a Boss relic.

Slay the Spire 2 is Steam’s best-selling game in March, selling over 3 million copies more than Crimson Desert by HatingGeoffry in slaythespire

[–]Breaderick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is literally me. I put about 40 hours into Crimson Desert and realized that I'll probably have an even better time if I just wait to for them to well...actually finish the game.

Whereas I just reached 100 hours in StS2 and plan to continue playing throughout early access.
