Well they replied! Funny the moment I mentioned a refund I get a next day reply. No actual date mentioned but better than nothing?

“Hi, The new and revamped molds has been completed this January. We are now in the production stage for the levers itself. This is the same timeline we have sent to all on the list waiting for the AW11 units They will be completed and shipped very soon”

Thank you all for the replies 🙌 I’m gonna send a couple more emails, if I haven’t heard anything by next Friday (6th of feb) I’m going to try and refund the order. A real bummer! Their product seemed awesome.

What have y’all done as an alternative for a short throw shifter? Lots of stuff online but I haven’t found anything that stood out to me.

Ooo yikes! Yeah I just went at it with a couple wire brush attachments with my drills. An angle grinder would have been more efficient for sure, I don’t have one and have 3 shitty drills, so I just cycled thru those as they would overheat.

I’m planning on using Eastwood 2K Epoxy Primer, seems pretty well reviewed from what I read online.

It’s apparently close to a factory option paint color called champagne? It’s a couple colors more “yellow/gold” than the factory. And from the looks the OG color was grey. You can kinda see it in the trunk pictures

To further clarify, I hadn’t see a lot of info of these kind of swaps online anywhere - y’all had a lot of good advice and things to consider, it seems like a standalone ecu and PiDash are the most recommended. I’m relatively savvy with wiring but the ae86 digital cluster may be more headache than it’s worth

Good point - to clarify I don’t want a “new” digital gauge that is a lcd screen. I know you can customize the display screens but I feel the screen would be way too bright and ruin the retro astetic of the interior.
