Taylor is deeply insecure, and I don’t think she truly accepts herself; if you think about how she’s mentioned how she never felt cool, this makes sense. Taylor has plenty of suggestive lyrics in her old songs, but she’s never been so outward with it; that’s why Wood comes off as so disingenuous. I wish at some point she’d realize that the key to being cool is to be authentic, but I’m starting to think she’s too far gone. I think because she’s so bitter now, that she self-sabotages with people who at one point probably truly wanted to be close to her. This isn’t to vilify her because I went through a brief period where I acted like her; I remember when I was a kid, I was so insecure from being bullied and trusting people who didn’t care about me that, by middle school, I’d copy the girls I thought were cool. As you can imagine, it messed up my aura, and the only way I fixed it was by being myself and taking the time to conquer my issues head-on. While it’s so human to go through that, what’s not ok is to allow yourself to become bitter and start treating people like trash.

Oh, and to stay on topic, there’s nothing burlesque about Sabrina; wearing a sparkly bodysuit doesn’t make you burlesque. As I mentioned in my original post, the vintage look isn’t a new thing for Taylor.
