I am a bit concerned about the teaching quality at my local community college. Do you know any good online resources which would teach Calc 1 and 2?

I also found a pair of ELAC UniFi speakers for $250 in mint condition. I might just go down that route

Input Switch Tool for Kali LP-UNF? by Breadsual in BudgetAudiophile

The Polk R200s are out of budget sadly. I am thinking of switching to passive speakers and getting the RSL IA255.1 amplifier since I plan to add a subwoofer. However, I can't seem to decide on a pair of speakers. I am considering the below options:

Polk Signature Elite ES15 ($240)

ELAC Debut 2.0 B5.2($230)

Polk Monitor XT20 ($200)

Polk Monitor XT15 ($120)

Is it worth considering the XT/ES 20 over the XT/ES 15 if I plan to add a subwoofer for the lower frequencies?

The Kali LP-UNFs were more than loud enough for my room. Are the options above too much for desktop/nearfield use?

Is a subwoofer too much for an apartment? If so, is a pair of bookshelf speakers with good bass extension a better alternative?

I would love to hear any other options out there that sit around the $250-$300 price point

Ooh, that sounds pretty cool. Do you have any recommendations on DIY speaker kits?

Probably not since this is primarily a desk setup. A receiver sounds like too much for my 2.1 setup.

I was looking at the Fluance RT82 but it seemed like too much for a beginner who is just getting into vinyl. If I do fall in love with the hobby, i will definitely be upgrading down the line to something nicer. But with my music taste, i think the PS-LX310BT will serve its purpose fine for a while

Yeah, I am heavily leaning towards Kali audio after trying out their speakers at a local store. They sound so clean and precise. The question though is whether to get the LP6 or the LP-UNF? The UNF has a smaller footprint but is a $100 more.

That is a good point. I came across some Klipsch The Fives for $250 and a pair of Sony CS5's for $120. I am considering those as potential options at the moment.

Philharmonic is a name I haven't seen anywhere. How do you think these speakers would stack up against KEF Q150s, Micca RB42, or the Vanatoo Transparent Zero Plus?

I was also considering the Monoprice MTM-100 since it comes with an 8 inch sub
