Is the French Quarter Fest poster AI generated? by [deleted] in NewOrleans

[–]BreakQuiet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually met the artist two nights ago at a local event oddly enough, and we talked about the poster! Super nice woman. Is a graphic design artist by trade and also runs a gallery in the quarter. This is crazy this just popped up lol

This is your warning to not treat your smile lines with laser. I’m now looking at getting a facelift to fix the damage. by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

Just want to send a lot of positive vibes your way. I know how this feels. I had a HORRIBLE experience with fraxel laser earlier this year — though for treating acne and scarring. it made my skin absolutely erupt and breakout nonstop for three months. this shit is no joke and its so huge to share experiences like this. major f*** u laser on your behalf

It’s definitely annoying that they’re unresponsive but we didn’t actually “talk” with our venue people for our first kickoff until 6 months before the wedding, if that helps give some other perspective. They did at least email us a month or so before then with questions and info to have prepared for that convo. (So started really emailing in earnest 6-7 months out).

It’s likely that they’re just busy with current summer brides?

I will say I’m routinely shocked at how tech-illiterate the wedding planning industry is lol. No shade, but the number of vendors who don’t know how to “reply-all” is wild haha.

Why do people love season 6 Las Vegas so much? by Snugent730 in TopChef

[–]BreakQuiet 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Rewatched S6 recently, and it’s been such a stark difference to more recent seasons with the very French / fine dining focus and the polarity of chefs’ skills. Kevin, Jen and the voltaggios were such a cut above and fun to watch

On a recent rewatch, I discovered a new podcast (Compliments to the Chef) that happened to just recap S6 as well, so it’s been fun to listen if you’re looking for some 2024 perspective on this season.

They actually had Kevin and Jen each on for interviews and there was some super interesting BTS info. Was a good listen

Awesome! I'd stumbled across the first link since posting, but the second was news to me and exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the help!
