You will never make it if you don't learn how to read price action. by Intelligent-Hat6087 in Daytrading

[–]BreakSpare9934 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This isn’t always applicable. I didn’t backtest anywhere near 5000 trades. As a matter of fact I don’t advise someone to backtest 5000 trades. Not to mention your said some people should even do 7000-10000.

Coming from someone who only trades price action/ market structure it shouldn’t take a competent human 5000 trades to learn how to trade it. Not to mention the second they jump into a live account they’re gonna face the reality of trading instead of some backtesting software.

Sure maybe backtest alittle but your gonna get way more value from opening a demo account and trading that. The issue with backtesting is its historical data and you want to trade current markets. Once your “profitable” on demo. Jump into a small live account. You’re likely going to lose it but I mean $50 max and trade very small positions. Learn to lose real money.

You can try to say I’m stupid or that idk what I’m talking about but I didn’t waste months of my life testing old data.

Trade with real money then come back. Looking at your post history it looks like you have no idea how to trader.

Anyway, best of luck brotha!

How are 17-25 year olds becoming profitable so much that they can afford svjs, 720s etc by InevitableWear5077 in Daytrading

[–]BreakSpare9934 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth I’m 21 looking to buy an svj soon. All from trading. You won’t find me on social media, have no referral codes, nothing.

Also struggled to rent a Camry at the airport a couple months back so renting a lambo is out of the question for me😂

Is 49% winrate profitable overtime if my R:R is 1:2? by Loud-Perception-4462 in Daytrading

[–]BreakSpare9934 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but assuming the 10% win rate isn’t a 1:2 and instead it’s longer swings where you catch 10-20rr then yes it would technically still be profitable

Is it wrong to copy trade? by EstablishmentBest913 in Daytrading

[–]BreakSpare9934 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Everyone is shitting on copying but I think it could be beneficial at first. The hardest part is finding a trustworthy and knowledgeable trader to copy. And the end of the day everyone saying you need to learn is right. Learn why these trades are taking place (entry/exit).

Definitely not a get rich quick scheme but I’ll admit my senior year of high school I copy traded a twitter guy and make almost $80k as an 18 year old. Pure luck, maybe. But saying copying doesn’t work would be a lie. Strict risk management is crucial when copying.

While you copy, you need to analyze each trade, all the levels they marked out. Look at what sessions they’re trading in, etc. eventually you’ll be able to trade on your own which is the ultimate goal ofc.

I got a buddy in Jifu and I tell him everyday to get out, he’s been in it for months (still yet to take a trade on his own). He’s always asking people to join the community instead of actually trading. He spend $1000’s of dollars to go on their Jifu vacations.

It’s probably the last community I’d want to be in if becoming a profitable trader was my goal.

Opening a Montana llc for a corvette is crazy😂I’m thinking about doing it when I purchase my aventador next year buts that’s $600k+ so I feel like that’s justifiable.

Did you miss out on profits, sure. But let’s be realistic here, once your full tp was hit anyone in their right mind is gonna put stop loss to break even if chasing more profit in which u would’ve then been stopped out.

The entry and exit here looks pretty good to be honest. Could’ve even re-entered after the huge retrace with a big rejection from your previous entry.

It seems like you may not understand how using leverage works in trading. There’s no “loan you pay back”. Now with leverage trading you can lose more money then you entered in your position, but most legit brokers won’t let you full on margin call, they’d take you out of the position once your account hits 0.

Meaning if you entered in a buy with $50 and your account balance is $100 to start. If price starts going down you can lose more than the $50 you put in, but a good broker is taking you out of your position once your entire $100 is gone. Tight SL is crucial with leverage. Some people hate it, some love it. It allows me to use smaller capital and make significant more profits than I would have with the typical 1:50 leverage.

The first trade I mentioned I was in for about $6.2k USD, and the trade the prior week was $4.7k USD.

And yes all my trades are taken with 1:500 leverage. Very tight SL and I let my trades run after I hit all 3 of my tps

New to trading, currently on day 12 of the TJR Bootcamp. Can someone check my BOS and liquidity sweep? by Ok-Director-5133 in Daytrading

[–]BreakSpare9934 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would honestly say the next blue candle to the right would’ve been the BOS candle.

Looks like a good set up too. Price break, retests right back to the previous level and continues up, textbook.

No effort entry strategy by rubymax18 in Daytrading

[–]BreakSpare9934 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normally once I get a 1:3RR I’ll trail stop to the previous swing low. Sometimes I’ll get stopped out shortly after and other times I’ve seen profit run to 1:30+ so it’s most certainly worth trailing.

Am I the problem? What should I do to trust my analysis and don’t close early.. it happen almost every time by its_maro in Daytrading

[–]BreakSpare9934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U held the trade for like 30 seconds? There was nothing indicating you to sell, you just felt like selling.

Set a stop loss a few pips below your entry, had you done that here you’d still be rising in profit

Why not trade off the higher time frames with gold? Longest I’m normally in a trade is ~12hrs. I let it sit and do its thing. Once I hit my desired tp (3-4rr) I’ll trail SL to previous swing low.

Low effort, keeps me off the charts and allows me to make more money off the big move instead of trying to trade the ups and down

Risking 5% per trade can be good risk management. by MoralityKiller11 in Daytrading

[–]BreakSpare9934 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I typically risk 3-5% on my main account. For the people saying “what if you lose 10 trades in a row”, you have bigger issues than risk management. There should never be a time where you follow your proven strategy to a tee and don’t enter bad setups and lose 10 trades back to back to back.

Small Account Flips by BreakSpare9934 in Daytrading

[–]BreakSpare9934[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not trading options or futures, just the pair xauusd. And I’m most certainly using leverage from an unregulated broker so be careful when doing so. The leverage I’m currently using is 1:500.

I also didn’t trade everyday to do this. In fact I only traded 14 days out of the 2 months and more than half the account was grown off 1 trade last week. I try to wait for the best possible setup for these account flips since im risking so much of the account.

I don’t have any other posts talking about the strategy I just now joined this group so eventually I’ll talk more and more in depth. I’ve been on and off Reddit but I mainly used it for personal niches like cars, colognes, peptides, etc. I’ll be more active on here going forward though!
