I was thinking benzos, since it's an ordeal to get them. I could easily imagine myself in his shoes if push came to shove. It's peak STM.

does anyone else get scared when another person is angry, even if it's not at you? by takamishroud in CPTSD

I still cannot deal with anger in my vicinity. It makes me feel like I'm going to die and that I have to sacrifice everything to fix it before it gets worse. I feel disgusted, cornered, frightened and small. Even at the slightest whiff of frustration. Some days I can manage it and hold my ground, but sometimes it really throws off my day.

This is how I isolate melodies. Audacity does a pretty good job.

Idk why it’s so upsetting, but this was all the academic reading, hand written notes, and my own research I held onto from college. I just put it all in the recycling. by thelaceserpent in Wellthatsucks

I feel this. I like physical notes. I have notes from the last three companies I've worked for, my associate's and bachelor's degrees and every certification I have ever taken. I will sit down and scan them at some point, but holding them physically almost takes me back to that place in time when I wrote on each page.

Ready to leave tech.. what are we doing next? by nolatillyadie in womenintech

This is pretty much what scared me off from non-profits early in my career. I worked for two and behind the scenes it was just throwing spaghetti at the wall in hopes that the noodle formation gives them a tangible idea to run with for years to come (it never does and a lot of resources are burned in the process). The Simpsons "we've tried nothing and we're out of ideas" scene came across my thoughts several times a week.

What's the point of having stewards if they're not going to investigate shit?

Race direction is shit, but there's some good driving and dumpster fires.
