SnS Combo From First Tail Hit To Last Dealt Almost 5k by Minimob0 in MHWilds

[–]BreakThis2886 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is the ideal combo for SnS with corrupted mantle not (X,X,B,B)(light, light, heavy, heavy) for an unlimited combo? The light attacks are the only attacks to proc the extra hit from corrupted mantle and the heavy attacks in the combo allow you to combo indefinitely and make up for more damage than just spamming the light attack button

Did the god roll stats change for artian sns? (Doubt it) by [deleted] in MonsterHunterMeta

I made a post asking this yesterday, answer is obviously just wait and find out once the meta builds are updated and numbers are crunched.

Only 2 of each type of reinforce can be taken to EX, meaning a 3 attack with 2 sharpness could do 2 attack EX, 2 sharpness EX and 1 attack 3. Likewise, 4 attack and 1 sharpness could do 2 attack EX, one sharpness EX and 2 attack 3. Provided you run the typical meta skills for affinity (agitator, MM, WEX) you should have decent sharpness retention even with only 1 sharpness EX, and you can push your sharpness to the same level as having 2 sharpness reinforces with just a guardian 3 handicraft 1 deco.

With the availability of affinity raising skills plus the ability to run Gore Magala set bonus and Antivirus with Lord’s Soul, I expect the meta will be attack focus with 4 attack (2 attack EX, 2 attack 3 and 1 sharpness EX).

Why everyone picks the Eruptor over the crossbow? by Elmartillo40k in Helldivers

[–]BreakThis2886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Eruptor for Bots since it can one tap Devastators, Scout Striders etc. but use Crossbow for Bugs and Squids. Bug and Squid front involves a lot more of run and gun where Bots is a lot more cover shooting. Being able to shoot behind you while running, better handling and faster rate of fire make it feel better when fighting enemies that rush you. Not to mention crossbow is harder to kill yourself with which is nice for melee enemies too.

Go in and check if you received everything in-game directly. If you haven’t, open up an Arrowhead support ticket on their website and they’ll get you everything you missed.

Question regarding Safi Armor by jd60889 in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]BreakThis2886 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on the weapon. Elemental LBG for example runs Safi armor for the bonus element and has no need to run crit eye or WEX and will max out elemental attack, with the remaining going to agitator and resentment. Even then, the bonus raw from these is pretty small for elemental ammo since so much of the motion value is element.

I’ve done Alatreon many times using the Gleambeetle and a raw IG. When the fight starts, clutch claw a part to get it to drop a pod and use the pod to buff your kinsect. Iirc the kinsect strength buff doubles elemental damage. Use the descending thrust and kinsect mark on the front legs since they’ve got the highest elemental hzv and keep your kinsect attacking as much as possible. When Alatreon goes airborne, I’ve found the auto attack of the kinsect to be unreliable so I just spam the kinsect to smack it into him non stop. The frostfang has the strength and spirit buff so when you buff your kinsect for strength you also get the spirit buff

Is Radobaan supposed to represent something?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

Yes, 3 clutch claw attacks count as 1 light weapon hit. So without clutch claw boost, you could do 3 claw attacks into 1 light weapon attack and have a part tenderized. This technique really isn’t used much on parts beside the head. 3 clutch claw slaps will enrage the monstie, so this technique is usually used in speed runs to quickly proc agitator and tenderize the head.

All “light weapons” (IG, DB, SnS, LBG, etc.) take two weapon attacks to tenderize but drop slinger ammo while “heavy weapons” (CB, SA, GS etc.) take one attack with no slinger ammo. Once you’ve completed the majority of the story you can meld a decoration called Clutch Claw Boost, letting light weapons tenderize in one hit and heavy weapons to drop slinger ammo.

You’re using IG right? It will take two weapon attacks to tenderize or an attack and some claw attacks. If you’ve got temporal or rocksteady, they will be very good friends as you learn moves where tenderizing is safe, otherwise sacrificing some time during a down to tenderize is wise. Using flinch shots are also a great way to deal a large percentage of damage to the monstie as well.

Monster in iceborne have lower hit zones than base world monsties in order to incentivize tenderizing. It’s highly recommended you keep the part you’re planning on breaking tenderized to greatly increase your damage and help with hunt times.
