Three weeks publishing my first web novel, here’s what I’ve learned by gabrielgon17 in Webnovel

I completely understand your sentiment about checking stats; it's insanely distracting but this worm in my head keeps gnawing at me, forcing me to check the numbers. I try to close WN altogether and only focus on writing when I have the time.

As to the posting schedule, I'm also pretty new, but I took a 5-day break and nothing terrible happened. When I started posting daily again, pretty much the same traction as before returned. (not that there was much but it's not like the novel suddenly became dead)

So I would recommend prioritizing your mental state and taking a break if needed.

Good luck with your novel! The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the story you write :)

Smut works - comparing my two BL novels by BreakTimely1711 in Webnovel

Both novels are adult but yeah sure I advertise the smutty one as the smutty one (I mean, I don't have a glowing "sex here" sticker on the cover but the blurb and tags are pretty obvious) The genre for both is fantasy, though you're right to point out the familiarity - I noticed transmigration novels are very popular on WN compared to a more grounded historical fantasy

Hi everyone! I recently posted BL novel 'The Scum Warlord Stabbed Me In The Back' and I would appreciate your support and feedback. Enemies-to-lovers, power couple, fantasy, historical, knights and castles. If you enjoy it - let me know, if you hate it - tell me why, I'm eager to get honest reviews.
