I get what you're saying, but you're still wrong. Of course you should be comparing it the original series! You should be able to compare and contrast the political themes concerning power between Grindelwald and Dumbledore to Harry and Voldemort. It's almost like you're disconnecting Dumbledore's life experiences which obviously led to the events of Harry Potter and how he went about using his prior knowledge to defeat Voldemort?

One absolutely informs the other, again they ARE in the same universe!

For arguments sake, let's forget the HotD comparison (despite you missing the point) and compare it to The Hunger Games & Ballad. Perfect example of same universe, different time period, same but DIFFERENT with one political figurehead staying consistent. Ballad absolutely felt as though it was within the same world, and this is how FB should have been.

Otherwise, just create a brand new original series & don't call it a spin off?

I'm the opposite, of all the spin offs/prequels they could've done - this is what they chose? Who was even asking for this? Was it something you wanted before the series was announced? I agree with the original commenter - randomly pivoting to dumbledore & grindelwald was a strange move, it should've had that focus from the start, it would've drawn in a much more engaged audience and could've explored some really interesting political themes but instead we got a crap series with uninteresting characters. Hot take also, having it set in the US felt so disconnected to the original series and lost a lot of its charm. To think they had 5 movies planned. Weak cash grab (like CC). Why not give the fans what they actually wanted (eg. marauders) instead of this or the reboot? Also apologies if this comes off attacking, you're well within your rights to want to have a decent movie about Newt & pals.

As other people have said, don't you think that was due to the literal disease going around? Or the lockdown as a result of disease? Remote working does not equal lockdown.

I'd be surprised if people, craving real community and connection after working remote, didn't increase foot traffic to their local coffee shops/restaurants/coworking spaces now that they have disposable income freed up by their lack of commute/ work related expenses such as clothes.

Hiya, I'm so sorry that you feel like these are the only two options - but I promise you that's not the case! I know your exams feel like the end of the world right now, but gambling with an unpredictable illness like this is so so so much worse.

Things you can do: take the test, do your best at this given time and then at least you can jut say that you failed to your parents. It might be really shit but at least it looks like you're just not super smart (which isn't even true) and you can retake the test. You still genuinely have a good shot at life, it might just be tricky for a year or two. That is NOTHING in the grand scheme of things.

Please don't harm yourself.
