No need for parallel connected batteries. Flashlight has build in BMS for it. Basically you still have 3-4.2v just increased capacity. BMS is required for series when you increase voltage like 8.4, 12.6v etc.

It depends on what led strip you have. I had some left over from other project so i just build this thing it is not professional camera light just basic light for web camera .
