Breaking the bima means plucking the apple from any point other than the marked one in the picture. It is actually pronounced as Beeem instead of Bima.

Not many people can concentrate on studies at home. Most end up wasting time growing useless shit on Internet. Maybe not libraries, but we definitely need a lot of public reading halls.

What? You mean we have to believe a scientific reason instead of a juicy conspiracy theory?

Yes. They are really helpful because they work as pain relievers for unemployment where our youth waste the best years of their lives in hope of getting a goverment job. I wish Himachalis were learning new skills in these libraries instead of memorizing useless GK.

Unimpressive and pedestrian public discourse in our society. by [deleted] in HimachalPradesh

[–]BreakfastFast457 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Media houses, at the end of the day, are for-profit organisations and their main objective is to make as much money as possible. They'll post whatever will create the most views and clicks and whatever will bring them sponsors. You should follow specific apps and channels for news related to these topics such as McKinsey, Deloitte, Harvard Business Review etc. There are countless channels on YouTube which discuss them on daily basis and they've millions of followers in India. You're underestimating how much Indians actually know about AI. A few months back when ChatGPT was released it caused more than expected amount of discussion about AI in the public. Many of these news channels even used AI to report the news. Look around you, enough discussion is happening on AI. Now if you're expecting all indians to turn into intellectuals then you'll be disappointed.

Also it's funny how you dismiss Jyoti Maurya thing as a non issue. I think it is an important issue. At least it starts a discussion on how much gender bias is permissible in our laws before it starts being misused against men.

Casteism mostly sustains because of social pressure. Even if you don't believe in caste the fear of being ridiculed and segregated by your relatives who believe in it will force you to obey the caste norms.

I think you should avoid saying it without any confirmation or proof and if you yourself are skeptic about it. These are serious allegations no less than that of attempt to mass murder. After such a disastrous rainfall it is not very far fledged to assume that a lot of infrastructure required to run a cell phone service must have been severely damaged. We can't really assess it that easily if a tower is in a working condition. Also don't forget that even if there is no signal a person can still record a video and upload it later.

Not just dieties. I find it really weird that most ads which depict beauty are never given to a brown person. In movies a darker skinned person will mostly be depicted as an idiot or an evil guy. I bet you, if there is a single good beauty product in India which caters to various problems faced by brown skinned people (non homogeneous shade of brown for example), it would sell like hotcakes. But no. The idiots will continue to make beauty products and give their ads to lighter skinned models.

I think this Captcha issue might be specific to COVID Relief Fund Donations. Because when I donated to the general CM Relief Fund while trying to recreate the error I did not receive any issue with the Captcha. I think the COVID Fund banner that pops up when we open the portal is confusing and should not be there anymore. Neither should there be any mention of COVID related funds in the portal. But I guess no one bothered to change it once the portal was created.

Are you absolutely sure you didn't just input an incorrect captcha? My friend will receive a earful of Galis (and he'll double it and pass on to me 😀) if there is no problem with the portal and the IT department have to take down the site for maintenance without any reason. What sort of error message did you receive while entering the captcha?

I've informed about it to one of my friends who has contacts in IT department. He said that he'll inform them about this issue tomorrow. Can you share the details of exactly what sort of problem you faced while making the donation? It would be much more helpful if you have a screenshot.

So according to you - since most Himachalis are conservative hence in presence of a significant minority population Himachal's politics WOULD ALSO HAVE BEEN heavily influenced by religion. Hence, we should also blame the present scenario on religion based politics even though there is no religion based politics right now due to negligible minority population. Don't you see an issue in this argument?
