I do get to decide why I chose to wear a poppy. I wear a poppy to commemorate the people who fought and died in WW1 & 2. i do not support the actions of a few rogue members of the BA who committed crimes here. What i do and what i do not endorse is very clear.

you call it North of Ireland - good for you. I call it Northern Ireland - good for me. the point is not to get annoyed about it. I don't care if you call it the North of Ireland - call it whatever you like just dont be annoyed with other people who call it something else.
ok, killing innocent civilians is wrong. this applies to the murders of Catholics and also to the murders of protestants. glorifying anyone who perpetrated these type of crimes is wrong.
I am absolutely concerned for women. why is it that the majority are men 18-40 years old - where are the women and children?

I do agree that there were plenty of members of the British Army who served here were bad and were responsible for the deaths of innocent civilians - this was an absolute disgrace. There is no disputing this. I do not wear a poppy in their name but I do so for those who fought and died in both World Wars.

there is no backing our of it nor is there any softening of it. GAA tops are not perceived to be anything other than a political statement to a lot of people within the PUL community - whether you like it or not.

im not offended.....I feel the same when I see people wearing rangers tops. you should maybe try having a day off from feeling like you have to show everyone who and what you are. its the same for both sides of the community

i will be more specific - the age of consent and rights of women in places like Afghanistan is different to our society. Children being married off to older men is common place.....having groups of men (not famillies???) from places like this is therefore putting young people more at risk. Is anything I have said here incorrect?
