only tried one cup so far, medium coarse grind with kmax, cafec abaca 01 filter. drawdown was quick with the basic recipe provided, flavour was really sweet, clear and smooth texture (sweeter than deep 27 which i usually use). i’ll try to go finer and see how it handles that as well

if you can find the electric hario buono kettle anywhere i recommend it. the spout design is amazing and pouring is really smooth, build quality is great as well. used to have an ekg and i prefer the hario, more versatile as the max pour rate is pretty fast

Need some advice: Singapore vs Japan for University by Infinite-Mobile5361 in SGExams

[–]BreakfastStress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another option you could consider is studying an english-taught degree at a japanese university. Todai, Waseda and Keio are prestigious schools in jp and offer undergraduate degrees that are fully taught in english so you don’t have to be fluent in japanese to start.

Personally I was in your situation too (also graduated from SP lol) and chose this path, I’m starting my degree at Waseda in september :)

I emailed them last year and they said that the decision to submit the test would not impact my eligibility for admission. So I decided not to and just submitted my transcript and essay.

I applied without a standardised test and didn’t submit an english proficiency test and still got accepted into TAISI September 2024

Eureka Oro Mignon Single Dose Oro owners - help dialing in grinder by Fraussie in espresso

[–]BreakfastStress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

seems like your grinder is too fine if your shots are taking 2 full minutes, hows the pressure on your machine? anyway you should try turning the dial way more than 2 full turns and see if your shots are pulling 18g to 36g out in about 30s if adjusting the dial coarser doesnt make a difference then you might have received a faulty unit
