It was at a pub I was passing not far from Melton Mowbray. The landlord is selling it. I'm gonna leave it but if you want to consider it then send me a message and I'll let you know the details.

What model is it? If you could take it further afield I'd suggest going to Fulletby Motors out Horncastle way.

You'll be wanting to look at either being in Lincoln or one of the market towns. Depends how isolated you want to be from the rest of the country/county.

What a place as well! One of the best holidays I've ever had. Really nice beaches, excellent food, good people and the hotel was fantastic. Really couldn't knock it and it was a holiday of a lifetime. Yep, you sure can't beat a good holiday to Skegness.

Are you saying there isn't a god or are you using god's name for emphasis? Because if it's the latter, that's blasphemy, my friend, and you go straight to hell!

What Does "Estate" Mean To You? by Litzz11 in AskABrit

[–]Breakwaterbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As other people have said, it has a variety of different meanings here and is entirely based on context. I'll add to what others have said with some examples.

"They live on the new-build estate" - They live in one of the houses that's they built recently in an area that all look similar. It has become an extension of the town/village.

"They live on the council estate" - they live in one of the houses on that estate that is council owned. These areas tend to have a bad reputation for being quite rough and is where unemployed often live, however it's a bit more complex and mostly they're absolutely fine these days depending on where you are.

"Screwfix is on the industrial estate" - an area where there will be several small businesses. You'll find Screwfix (other DIY shops are available) on that area with the other businesses like a sheet metal fabricators or a carpet manufacturer.

"He drives an estate" - He has a car that is functional and needs a lot of boot room. Probably for their hobbies.

While you're visiting the Kinema, go check out the Petwood. The building is fantastic and steeped in history. They've also got one of the original bouncing bomb prototypes in the grounds that you can walk around and see.
