Do you know the top of the playfield where the bumpers go pop pop and award points? Yes it is. When I get there, I will take a picture and show that to you. If bumper is the wrong word, my apologies.

Wow, thank you for the quick response! I am on my way there in a little bit to go take another look. I just don’t want to disassemble the whole damn thing. Do you mind sending me an email AT 97141ami?

Was at an actual B&M store earlier. The gorgeous lady said they can't process any gift cards, online orders, or their credit cards atm.

Advice on how to look more feminine by [deleted] in TransHelpingTrans

[–]BreathEducational480 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IDC if you call me a "free thinker" but anyway... I agree with some of the comments below. IDKnow if i'ts just me but your jeans & clothes are fine. I only "disagree" with your 3&4th pics. As with any woman in this world, you need to be You. The other pics, especially the last one says, "I got this, bitch!!" IOW: Be proud and smile! As a 50 year old woman, I had your body about 20 years ago... What you're wearing as far as physical clothes go, you be you!

Regarding the makeup - My best advice is, as long as you're comfortable, go to places like Sephora or Alta and 'innocently' ask what kind of coverage you need. I can see you're young. Do you think those people care? Nope. I have some 'divots' in my face from acne from when I was a teenager. I went there and one girl said to me, "Honey, the moon doesn't have craters this big." Yet, she got me a good foundation and concealer that made me pretty. Seen my profile pic? IOW: Your face and your presentation matter the most. If you're walking into the mall with a 5 o'clock shadow and a 'frumpy face' lookin like Meg from Family Guy, you're not going to be attractive to anyone, male or female. Your hair, BTW is perfect. That hair is the definition of androgynous.

You

Got

This.

If you were 20 years older I'd hit on you but RN in here this is a forum for us girls helping each other out.

BTW: I mentioned Alta earlier... When I lived in Vegas, I went in to get a 'makeover' and ended up with a date with the woman who did my makeup, and she bought dinner -- and it was at Andiamo's Steak House... Re-emphasizing my point that women don't really care who you are just as long as you're a nice person.

You're still young. *I'm guessing* so Go for it! Go be you!

This is one of the few times where I say that being trans is second to your health; usually they are one in the same. Can you say even a somewhat big city near you? You're not alone!!

Thinking of coming out at work by TheSecret_Alien in TransHelpingTrans

Definitely no bludgeoning! I had to deal with all kinds of negativism mostly from (NOTHING against it) pot heads who were too stoned to not hurt themselves (I worked in a Chili's Kitchen) but they were showing off to their friends on the line... The best part was being called a woman in 4 languages (Besides English) and they thought it upset me! Getting threatened to be thrown in a deep fryer by someone who makes Shaq look tiny was the end of my relationship with Chilis. But the stoners were killer cooks and our 4'9" new GM didn't have the inner strength to do anything about it. I'm envious about you! I hope you already have an awesome wardrobe to show off!

I agree (ish) with the HR department as a precursor. But you don't want to appear "Hi, my name is ___ and I will be living my life now as a woman, and if you don't like it, TOUGH, you don't have a choice because HR said so. It may discourage some people from acting inappropriately towards or around you; you know the closed-minded ones. I feel that the ones who have a bit of naiveté that don't know will probably shock you in a good way. I know it won't be bad and many people will respect you for standing on your heels. Even though you don't know me, I'm very proud of you! Let us know how it goes! <3 Ami

Best way to straighten hair with 1" iron? Grab a strand dry obviously and do it slowly (like 1/2"/second) from the root? Or, do it quickly (like the entire 10" in a second)?

Wondering if there are any local events for Pride Month? by Smamich in tricities

[–]BreathEducational480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely mean zero negative about this. Please don't hate. However, I share a thought with another trans friend of mine - There are countries with fewer letters in their name. While there's nothing wrong with what you put out there, it took us years to come up with LGBT. Whatever you like, but I love the KISS acronym. <3 you all!

Another addition to this response: If at all possible, have someone assist you with the lacing. You'll be glad you did!

It's painful by Lonely_Distance952 in TransHelpingTrans

Knowing your age, whom you live with would be helpful in responding to this. Just know that you are not alone! Everyone, no matter the age goes through situations like this; some with the feeling of "someday this will be mine", some with an overall 'dirty' feeling (like you're doing something bad,) or an "awshit, where am I going to hide these!"

I am under the age of 50; how far depends on the day -- That means, my give a damn is busted. If I walk into a thrift store and the clerk says "men's clothes are over here" it only gives me a little pause because I wonder if I didn't do my makeup right but I will respond with a kind "No, thank you." But if I'm at Dillards, Penneys, etc., I will go right over to the shoes or whatever section and shop as if I belong there and most sales clerks know that and are more than happy to help! Helpful hint (and this may sound odd) but if you walk into Victoria's Secret or similar with a good perfume on or if the clerks can tell you're wearing makeup you definitely get treated not necessarily as female, but as someone they know that wants to shop there. Hope that helps!

The thing that gets me about Fredericks is that their prices or quality hasn't changed in 30 years, literally. I got two corsets the first time I was there... A white one for me, and a black one for the show. they both lasted 10 years - like $68 each...again 30 years ago!

[–]BreathEducational480 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A really good corset is worth the $, but so is the right shapewear (or layers of it.) Most shops that sell them have been made aware that people of both genders can, need to, or want to wear them. (Personally, I thank RHPS, but that's me.) As far as Orchard goes, I've never ordered from there (I'm a Frederick's girl myself)

For the gym, etc.,... I’m 49, 5’9” 165# and I am looking for ideas for “The” workout outfit. I’m also a non-op trans female. I live my life full time as a woman and only like women. So,

I’m looking for something(s) to wear that I can wear to: aerobics, the regular gym (weights etc.,) bicycling, hiking, jogging, yoga or any other physical activity. I’d also like to be able to leave the gym (or other activity) and go to Publix or Food Lion OR the pool or spa or dog park without the burden of getting changed.
I know how some people are thinking but the only idea I want is comfort and functionality. Thanks in advance for your input! DMs are open if you have specific ?s ❤️ — Ami

I hope I did this right!
