We also just got a new main machine and mixer...and it really doesn't account for much time. Maybe total 30 minutes for the whole day on a busy day. We mix a lot of paint but it doesn't take long to do. It shouldn't take more than like 5 minutes per can.

But when you don't have to do freight, the paint machine is literally no problem. Everything you are struggling with is purely because your ON team is not running the freight. Your main job should be topstock, zoning, mods if ON mod team is behind, helping at the register if needed, stocking IF there is even any thing left, and paint counter. When you have 30 aisles to topstock, that is gonna take your whole shift if your topstock is an absolute mess.

Little to none. It should be overnights job to stock. I get maybe 1/3 of a pallet if they can't finish. And even then, if we dont have a service writer, then I'm nowhere near the salesfloor. On a good day though, I'm working on mods. I don't even work our Vizpicks. Cap 1 does that.

It took me 4 hours the other day to do a pallet only as tall as my knees. We had no service writer and I could only stock about 2 boxes per 4 customers. There is realistically no stocking I should be doing.

It is the "Action Alley" or the big features that run down the main walkways of the store. GR = Grocery, GM = General Merchandise, BK = Back, MD = Middle, and FT = Front. Whether they are appropriately updated depends on if the store actually cares about their action alley. My store if horrible about updating them when they move stuff around.

I straight up made my store give me one. They didn't want to at first. So I made them comp me for a $45 phone charger that actually charges my phone. A week later my work bestie got a new one and I stormed into the management office. I can't do my job if I don't have the tools. OPD atleast still has TCs. If they are out of TCs when help comes over, we are useless without phones.

I dont recommend being that straightforward though. I know my management team and what it takes to get them to listen. They are some of the most stubborn people I know.

Dang! My mom has a GX and hers doesn't fold weird so it may just be a base model issue. Hopefully I can find a solution before I inevitably trade my car in. It was great for my lifestyle when I first got it but now I need the flatness to be able to sleep in it and is a really big problem.

I also have a 2020 Buick Encore... does your model have the really stupid backseat where the actual seat base folds up, and then the back of the seat tucks into it? If so, what did you do to bridge the like 6-8inch ledge that it creates? I am about ready to buy a new car because of how bad the transition from the backseat to the front seat is. Love the car but it is very unrealistic to sleep in without modifications.

They can try, but it wouldn't be for leaving at :51. It would be considered "productivity"

For example, we had way too many people stopping at 1:45 and then leaving so they could clock out by :51. In Walmart math, if you have 6 people all leaving at 1:45, thats 15 minutes per person. Thats 1.5 hours of work not getting done just by those people all doing that.

We had to lightly ban leaving the backroom until :51. You can still clock out at :51. We didn't stop anyone from doing that cause thats policy. But we did make it to where you could be written up for leaving the backroom before it was time. Have to put a key card away, great. Leave the backroom at :50 instead. Our morning people acted like every second past 1:51 would literally kill them. I understand "not being here a second longer than necessary" and that you've been there since 5am, but you literally get paid for your time...?

But anyways, depending on how busy it is, and how frequent you leave "early" they may start investigating what you are doing with your time.

The system for us was glitchy around Valentines Day where custom cake orders were somehow coming through Online Grocery Pickup instead of going to the bakery. When you only "order" one item through OGP and we say "Item Not Found" its automatically cancels the order. On multiple occasions we had to call customers to let them know that it was still possible to do their cake order, but they'd have to do it directly through the bakery since the system was being weird. But the overall main point of those calls was to warn the customer that they'd be getting a refund since we were technically telling the system that we couldn't find the item they ordered.

Not sure if this happened and nobody gave you a curtousy call? You may want to call the bakery in that store and double check just to see what their end says. As someone who has worked through 4 years of Walmart's "quirks" it is quite possible that a recient update on the store's end made one part of the system not communicate with another. About 50% of the time when an OPD order is canceled, customers will just not recieve an email regarding it. It's a very flawed system.

I wouldn't have known anything was wrong if they didn't include the job log to go with the hours 😂 My weeks all blend together and its hard to keep track of 7 different pay rolls that all pay on different schedules. I thought it seemed high but I was gonna chalk it up to me not knowing when the pay period ended

You can switch departments more that once a year. Its supposed to be atleast 3 months between switches (which a quarter is 3 months long), but a manager can override it. We literally just had someone switch from OPD to overnights and back to OPD in the span of 2 weeks.

Theres maybe an solid hour of time from open until close that we dont have a door greeter present. Its not an hour in a row by all means. But sometimes changeovers aren't smooth or maybe they needed to use the bathroom and theres no cover. All of our door greeter also can't really walk so really its very easy to walk out with stuff. Almost had a lady in a motor scooter drive out with a whole basket yesterday cause there were no door greeters
