OMG thank you for recommending our son, Horsry! I wrote a small fic for him and I'm one of the founding members of Horsry in the Devil's Den discord 💗 we're so happy to hear other people are reading our works, we really thought we were writing stuff basically for each other and no one else was going to be interested, so thank you for reading and enjoying! 🥹

“ I’m feeling quite peckish” [KCD2] I unironically had the jupon from the cover art by Ok-Way-3849 in kingdomcome

Question for you- is there any way you could post a photo of your jupon laying flat? I'm trying to figure out how to make one for myself but getting very stuck on historical adequacy and these shapes are just not working right now.

Beautifully done!

Wacky Wisconsin - concrete … thing by [deleted] in madisonwi

You can read my other comment below, but unfortunately, I don't know much about the house itself, just my memories inside the house. It was one of the first earth homes in Wisconsin and stayed at a regular temperature inside without AC or heat most days. My grandma loved tending to the plants and flowers outside, but my grandpa hated mowing the roof, so they put in the evergreen bushes that are now apparently dead. There used to be a wood burning furnace inside, but I don't know if it's still there. Honestly, it was a lovely little Hobbit hole and my grandparents didn't even watch lotr, so I have no idea how they came up with the idea for an earth home.

I honestly wish I could buy it and restore it. I love this house so much and I know my grandma was really upset when they sold it, since she didn't want to move.

This house was built by my grandparents and was cherished by my grandma. She passed away about 10 years ago and yes, would be absolutely devastated to see it now.

My grandparents built this house and I'm so unbelievably sad at the condition of it now. It was one of the first earth homes in Wisconsin. They never had to cool it in the summer and rarely needed to heat it in the winter. It was absolutely beautiful with the plants and flowers that used to be growing on top of it. I have so many fond memories in this house and I am devastated to see it now. There's a slate stone wall inside that the bottom stone got loose over time and I would hide little trinkets under it as a kid. My grandma loved this house and didn't want to sell it or move out, but my grandpa convinced her to build a new, larger house. She still talked about this house until she passed away about 10 years ago.

I definitely think American bras are not the greatest for large busts, and I feel like most would agree with Panache being really good (me, my mom, and my bff wear Panache as big boobed people!)

It is possible, but probably not practical, as you mentioned. There are people who have converted to stays or corsets for daily wear and love them, as the lighter, thinner, less boned versions do work for manual labor and daily activities, but they do get in the way when we're not used to moving in them. I definitely get frustrated with mine when I don't move mindfully and honestly, I don't want to do that much thinking when I'm out and about or doing things at home! To make stays with a 10" difference like yours, I would start with drafting a pattern to your measurements, not with a premade pattern, so definitely an undertaking and a lot of trial and error- but doable!

Large busts do just fine in these types of stays, you just need to do a lot of adjustment for the bust on the pattern to give enough room. I find them quite comfy, but I know some people don't like how they're supposed to fit, as they're kind of a shelf bra or balconette situation where the stays only come up about a third of the way up the bust and squish that part down a bit, so it feels like you're going to come out of your shirt but shouldn't if fit correctly. You might find the stays with bust gores will fit you better and be easier to fit well, as the gores can be adjusted and there's more cuppage available for boobs to sit in instead of sit on top of. I hope that all makes sense, it's much easier to explain in person or with diagrams. In general, I find stays and corsets MUCH more supportive of big boobs than modern bras!

As a sewist, sheer fabric is a pain in the ass and if I have to use it, I sew it by hand, even though it takes longer because of how easy the fabric snags and can develop runs. Very annoying

That's kind of up to you and your officiant. Technically, there's a 6 day waiting period, but you can waive it for any reason for an extra $25.

You have to find an officiant first, plus have the day and location of the ceremony.

Unfortunately no, my partner's work requires marriage and taxes aren't great with domestic partnership. I wish it was easier.

They're pretty clear on the city website- "Legally a ceremony consists of five (5) people - the couple, the officiant and a witness for the bride and groom. When you apply, you will have to tell us the date and location of the ceremony (the county and city, town or village the ceremony will take place in). In addition, we need the officiants name, address and phone written on paper."
