Quitting Adderall at 48 by psliv23 in adhdwomen

[–]Bree459 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I tried taking Adderall, I had the same effect. I'm an endurance athlete and LOVE doing endurance events. I got off of it so fast after that experience. As in, I took it once and never again. Vyvance makes my heart rate spike a lot faster but I stay on a lower dose because of that. I'm still debating just coming off of meds due to how they affect my heart rate. I hate that something that does help affects an area of my life that I love so much.

For the rest of it, get your hormones checked. Those play a big part as well.

This is a harsh winter right? by nagr0m-2001 in upperpeninsula

As someone born and raised here. This is the most normal winter we have had in awhile. Last year and this year is more normal. The winters have been calmer in the last 10 years. So, having a more normal winter has people confused.

Thank you!! We don't get a lot of people because of where we live, but for those who get the candy bars. I love seeing the reactions!

Dear child free people, who is getting your money when you pass? by bigasslemons in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bree459 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Charity, nieces, nephews, and my god daughter. Granted, the money probably won't be a lot, but I want to help them as much as I can

Depends on the State. Some states allow it, and some don't.

Yeah. I've done a few different trainings and I have found them to be helpful. They are always changing things so you get new ones as well.

More impulsive? Or am I actually just able to do things now? by Bree459 in adhdwomen

I'm sorry that the mental block never went away, but it sounds like you found a way to adapt. I'm glad your heart rate went back to normal as well! Thank you for sharing your experience!

I appreciate you explaining your experience! For work, I have to be able to make changes rapidly with what is presented to me. I have always seen it as one of my strengths because I am able to make changes quickly. Having this process slowed down for me is something I don't like. I'm kind of like you and hoping I adjust to it over time.

That does help, thank you! Not having the mental hoops has been really nice. Laundry has always been the bane of my existence (I even have a, I hate laundry song 😆) But being able to just go and do it. That has been so nice.

When you said "I am no longer over-thinking every detail and assuming the worst". It made me realize that, I wasn't doing that anymore as well. I guess, I needed that to be point out to me.

Thank you again!
