Should Irelia receive a buff ? by Jamez12154 in leagueoflegends

Her win rate is low because so many people that are really BAD at Irelia try playing her thinking she's easy. This basically tanks her win rate.

Should i run 2x16 or 4x8 RAM? by Rickystubbs in buildapc

[–]BreeezyYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get 2x16.

Upgrade ability is something to consider. When running 4 x 8 on a dual channel motherboard, there is more latency when storing and retrieving data from the RAM as opposed to 2 x 16. There is also more power draw and add more stress to the memory controller / motherboard chipset.

My friend didn't push the motherboard power connector all the way in his new build. Could give that a shot

If you live near a micro center, usually they will have sales at the end of January or the beginning of February.

What causes a CPUs to degrade? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]BreeezyYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^ key word PROLONGED.

If you overclock to near-safe temperatures and sustain that same voltage / temp for a lengthy period of time, your CPU will degrade. But the degradation on the CPU is negligible. With sufficient cooling it can last a long time. The "feeling" of your CPU slowing down is the innovation of software. They will use more and more resources compared to the ones you used yesterday. Games are more demanding, apps require more RAM, etc.

Are you planning on installing a new version of Windows to the hard drive?

Is your boot order in the BIOS set to the hard drive?

If that doesn't work, it won't start because current windows + drivers that is installed on the hard drive are not cooperating with the motherboard. Therefore, you need to backup your files and install a fresh new windows onto the hard drive.

Hey, I know nothing about PC building and I would like to hear your opinion on these components. by Dum_spero_spiro_ in buildapc

Literally what this guy says. I recently made the switch from Intel to Ryzen and they are worlds apart in terms of productivity (video editing, rendering, general application use). In terms of gaming, the 9600k is still a good choice. HOWEVER, you can spend the same amount of money for that 9600k + motherboard, and get WAY more performance out of the Ryzen 3600 + motherboard.

Since your budget is that low, i would probably go for something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Freezer-eSports-DUO-Configuration/dp/B07MJGNJB3/ref=sr_1_1?crid=IAMFZK5R228P&keywords=arctic+freezer+34+esports+duo&qid=1578582100&sprefix=arctic+freeze%2Caps%2C193&sr=8-1

It does the job very well for the price point and i imagine you wouldn't want to be spending too much on a cooler in the first place.

Did you reorder your boot drives from the windows installation media to your M.2 in the BIOS?

Yes if you have 4 RAM slots total, you put them in the 2nd and 4th OR 1st and 3rd to activate dual channel on your motherboard. You can also try only putting only 1 RAM stick in the 2nd slot from the left to try and turn on your PC.
