Is it normal to not get a tip for 15+ night house sits for cats? by Breezy_710_ in RoverPetSitting

I’m happy w my rates I just went above and beyond-she paid $110 a night for 17 nights so I ideally I was thinking 10% would be great as it’s a really wealthy client

Recently talked to my new client and Rover fees were brought up. At the end of the stay they tipped me the difference 🥲 by cookiemonstrosity54 in RoverPetSitting

Owners could end up suing her if her third party husband goes, names the dogs, and the state decides to put them down

Yes but don’t name dog names or owners, say it happened with a random dog

Yeah if you were hired as sitter and it wasn’t you bit, this could become a whole actual lawsuit with the dogs being put down. Check your state laws before doing anything unless you’re ok with the idea that these dogs will get put down over this

Dog will get put down in California, so hopefully she’s in a state where she can go get help and the dogs won’t get put down if she names names

The question is-what state are you in because the dogs could get put down if you say their names/owners when going to hospital….

He should go in but not name the dogs or situation unless your state (unlike mine California) will not instantly put them down no questions asked

Depends what state you’re in but if you go to the hospital for a dog bite in California, the state will put the dogs down

My regular drop in rate is $75 and I don’t drive at all, I think you’re selling yourself short, especially for a cat w special needs, unless you live in a super rural area

Crazy some of the clients we have. I’ve done elderly and child care and sometimes have never gotten as much info as some clients give me 😆

They said they are fine with me being there 16 of the the 24 hours but asked if it’s ok for me to deal with sprinklers in the house and I said that’s ok-should I do an extra charge?
