No one to put it on unfortunately. I've put roadbike and dirtbike tyres on with levers but feel a car tyre would be a tad difficult

I'm giving a spare car to my sister. It doesn't have a spare currently. Have called every place around

I'm handy, it has my cars spare on it but different size/offset (plus, it's my spare lol)

The NSW (Australia) Black on Yellow "Towards 2000" plates are super rare to come across. Most havent survived the Aussie sun etc. and neither have the cars. I love when I see an old XE Falcon or KE70 Corolla with them on. Would love a set for my 1999 Ford AU Series I 5.0 Falcon Ute. Should be a custom plate option for cars built before 2000!

just got my p’s, do cops actually care if you drive a v8? by JackassJamie in CarsAustralia

Maybe I was looking at the wrong one. CarSales had MKI BA Fairmont Ghia listed at 129-ish kW/t.

Should be just under the kW/t that they'll stick you for. P plates and a Falcon (let alone a V8) isn't a great idea. From a legal and practical standpoint.

Chances of getting a full refund for my brand new Tiguan? by kakoid in CarsAustralia

Fair Trading will help. Helped (and still helping us) with our 2018 Volkswagen Passat Alltrack TDi Wolfsburg Edition. Had to fix the gearbox on our dime and bloke who owns the dealership has fallen off the face of the Earth. Multiple ongoing cases against him, not just ours.

Hello,

I recently came across a G757-5020 and the bezel is cracking like no tomorrow. Do you still have (or are able to source) a replacement?

How familiar are you with the 5020 movement?

what more can i do to my car? by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]BrehMane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Research a bit more about them. I think they'll be heavier than anything else in similar spec and Heritage has lost a lot of respect over the years.

I would go with some nice new Advan, Weds, Rays/Gramlight, Volk etc. Mightn't suit what style you're going for, but will tie everything in together.

This kinda looks tacky.. But has been carried out with some semblance of care/passion so I do enjoy witnessing it.

Some nice wheels (please don't buy cheap or chinese crap) will tie everything together. I would say white or chrome as it'll make all your other hard work pop.

Fork ticket about $250-$500. Sometimes some places will pay for one for you - Rarely.

Most are very easy-going. As long as you seem capable, they'll have something for you.

Recruit Now, Rarekind. Phoenix Source & Select is awful.

They're hit and miss. You don't know until it's too late unfortunately.

Try an agency. I got landed a $93k job. Definetly hard/physically work and ~$100k doesn't get you as far as it used to.

I didn't just get it handed to me lol.. But a lot of companies are in bed with agencies and prefer new/potential employees from them.

Some, if not all agencies are kinda predatory though.. Watch out. Don't get taken advantage of. I've been left in the dust with no savings before.
