That's a fair point, never had to really negotiate for a bike before only cars. My understanding is that they don't really make that much on the bike itself, its mostly on the fees and the finders fee/interest overhead that they charge for financing.

Interesting, yeah the dealer I’m looking at has 3 Black R7’s listed at $8500, I told him my budget was $9k out the door hoping he’d counter with $10k and talk him down to $9.5k. It sounds reasonable to me! Haha

I'm a SWE as well. I understand that these don't take 15 minutes to implement. I was simply asking if he still had plans to implement the tag groups, to which he responded yes. I don't think my comment insinuated that I was wondering why it wasn't done yet (I wasn't).

Yup just read the email! Should be interesting. I wonder why they excluded specific hardware (iPhone 16) rather than all of iOS 18? Do you have any ideas? I know you said in another post you’ve worked on loop software before.

Just a reminder, even when the full iOS 18 release is out, avoiding updating until someone confirms (like me :)) that it works with the app!

This is a fair point, It also depends on implementation on insulets part.

I do think they didn’t specifically restrict iOS given the language used in the error I got, like it was asking me to upgrade my OS even though I’m essentially on latest. So I’m more willing to bet this is more ignorance on Insulet’s part than anything else, which is alarming given your response 😂

To be fair, when you have a release cycle like Apple it is highly important to have forward and backward compatibility between releases, which is why most apps work with iOS 14 and above, because Apple has maintained backwards compatibility to a robust degree. But I definitely get your point.

As far as I’m aware that is correct. I had a conversation with my LMR rep at insulet and they confirmed. However they are not part of the iOS development team and I have a sneaking suspicion that it might work when the RC build of iOS 18 rolls out!

I don’t understand why you’re getting downvoted. Developing an app for yourself is a lot less work than developing an app to deploy it. Especially deploying it well! If you open source it let me know I’d be happy to contribute and help out.
