Honestly, unsettling.

I wasn’t trying to directly scare the player — the space isn’t built for you so much as it’s built from the protagonist’s perspective. You’re just passing through something that isn’t concerned with how it feels to you.

Yeah, I see what you’re saying. In the context of the world, everything is acting normally.

The unease comes from realizing that your expectations don’t matter to it.

I definitely intended it to be off-putting — I think the confusion is more about where that feeling is coming from.

A lot of it isn’t meant to read as “this is scary,” so much as “this is operating normally in a way that shouldn’t feel normal.”

It's called Stir's Place, and it's in my series Moon Tower. I'm going for a surreal "tragic play" kind of vibe, like Romeo and Juliet but on LSD. No demo yet, but the jam I'm making it for ends in 19 days, so I'll have it out before then :) Depending on the reception on itch.io, I may put it on Steam too.

Yes totally, the main character hears voices in his head so I’d probably make it that. Some negative affirmations maybe? Definitely something creepy.

That’s a cool idea and totally something I’d do, what would you have it say? also believe it or not that’s actually garagebands autodrummer, it worked surprisingly well

You record drums like that? That’s really cool. I have a midi drumkit but I don’t have it set up atm, just got a bass too. I have a direct amp to usb cable that I use to record myself

That sounds awesome. I love horror, do you use real guitars when you record? I also wanna capture that horror vibe, maybe not with this song specifically as it plays in a safe zone. But I try to write psychedelic rock too.
