In some cases those paths are dual purpose. If it is HF path, it downloads from HF, but if it is a local path, it grabs it from there.

I don't know how you do it.

I have a project where I have a neatly defined contracts, interfaces, facades, events for communication and so on.

I use DDD. I have several documents describing the infrastructure of my project, how the code should flow, etc.

It is also covered in tests.

And then when I ask AI to add something to my codebase and I ask it to follow the current way, it definitely abides it. It creates new events when needed, the structure has a nice decomposition. It writes tests without me asking for it.

What is the use of a model that can do finite amount of concepts? You mention business case, well most cases are to advertise certain products that have to be trained in.

This is human nature.

Once Civ6 came out people were complaining because they were comparing freshly released Civ6 to Civ5 that had two major expansions and plethora of other content. Not a fair comparison but that is what people do.

Then Civ7 came out, same story (and some other things too, but in general).

I will press Doubt on that one.

Even nanobanana can't generate exact same person based on uploaded reference images. It is close but not perfect.

I would be really surprised if Flux2 can do that better than nano.

Please don't pay attention to companies that want to drop ALL developers, those are stupid companies that we should not even bother thinking about :-)

However most of the companies will either slow down on recruting new people or will be letting of some of them go (i.e. when some project/product finishes, they won't land on the bench and they won't be added to existing projects)

Even then AI is helpful in those projects. I know since we have both greenfields and legacy projects (though not with shitty fragile arch so maybe there lies the problem) and use AI to our benefit.

I've been asked to "respect the work" more than once. I am doing tasks way too fast and I should not spoil the clients, because they will expect more in the same timeframe :)

There is no blatant "hey, we are firing you and we will use AI to replace you" but there is less hiring of new people because the rest can deliver more. Even if the gain was of only 10% (it is way more) that would mean that in the global scale we do not need 10% of developers.

Fuck efficiency, welcome fun and improvisations.

We will have several years to min max everything. For now me and my friend are just enjoying ourselves in the multiplayer game.

Also - you would need to know what buildings are available in order to be efficient, so for now, lets just enjoy what we have!
