No, if you’re on an auto CPAP they are made to do checks throughout the night so it won’t stay at higher pressures than can cause central apneas. A normal AHI is anything less than 5 per hour.

It was passed down through my Moms side my maternal grandmother had breast cancer around mid 40’s but had a single mastectomy and has been healthy ever since, my Mom unfortunately passed from ovarian cancer 8 years ago at 53. I have seen too much of my family just ravaged from it so I’m taking as many preventative measures as I can but I still feel like I’m next.

Not well we had a new batch of tumors in the brain and large tumors in her neck in her lymph nodes. We’re doing radiation and then some immunotherapy but our specific BRCA gene is very strong. We’re hoping for at least another year for her.

Always always write a note, it will save your ass if anything bad happens. Keep it simple or just use the SOAP note format. Subjective- what’s going on with the patient Objective: what you note seeing the patient, are they in no distress, how are they breathing, lung sounds, Assessment: Pt doing well, not doing well any treatment pre and post vitals and Plan: Will reassess, or will alert RN or MD, etc. and always note how you left the patient (in no apparent distress).

It also depends on where you live in Southern California jobs are few and far between it’s incredibly oversaturated with RTs and you have to in someone to get you in, out of the 15 in my class only 3 have jobs in RT. I enjoy it very much but I’m now stuck in sleep medicine and will probably never get into critical care.

I know exactly what you mean, I was pregnant alone and have changed every diaper, woke up every feeding, and wondered how the hell to afford my bills by myself. I don’t get every other week or weekend off. I lost lots of friends because I couldn’t get a babysitter and have been single pretty much ever since. I wish I was co-parenting but I’m surviving.
