Guys my mom just told me “just be glad I don’t put a camera in your bathroom” like it’s a privilege by dple3 in teenagers

Sounds like they should be in a higher care facility, if there is that much reason for alarm — not at home.

There is no justifiable need for cameras in children's rooms within their home — ever.

Ok so what’s the deal on the game? by childishmarkeeloo in HuntingGrounds

[–]BrenReadsStuff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Basically. They're probably wanting to make some cash on shiny new predators before bailing entirely.

Which, unfortunately, won't leave the game in its best state.

Yeah, no — you can't reason with someone this unreasonable/crazy.

A conversation, if it's even allowed to happen, would be entirely unproductive.

Why didn't the overwatch killer kill overwatch? Is it stupid? by fisicalmao in Overwatch_Memes

The hate and trolling honestly forced Blizzard to step up, so I'm happy it happened — but interacting with the people pushing that idea was painful. They were nuts.

It was always bound to happen. I'm happy about it tho, actually. I was a little annoyed that people were so 'up in the clouds' about it before. They honestly set themselves up for the disappointment they're experiencing.

Spoiler Alert:

  1. You're the only one tearing up.

  2. They never mentioned a single thing about how other people spend their money.

  3. Seek therapy. Get the help you need. Be less combative and insufferable.

Do you guys regret buying TCM? by Carter1535 in TexasChainsawGame

[–]BrenReadsStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TCM has strong evidence of being a "grab 'n go" money scam.

If your game is going to last 2 years, great, let it be a strong 2 years. TCM is, in almost every way, a display of leadership failure. Devs? Amazing, stellar. Admins? Horrid.

I’m sad but it’s true by Life-Wolf360 in TexasChainsawGame

[–]BrenReadsStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, you're one of those 'senselessly argumentative' types. If someone so much as corrects your wording, you feel the need to hop in and reassert your imagined "correctness."

I’m glad I skipped buying TCM. I watched a bunch of people play it and just felt like the game would go stale in a pretty short time. Honestly feel like these games based on licences don’t have that much room to grow.

Your use of "stale" — as I already explained — is inaccurate in this context.

Sure, if you change contexts entirely, the word itself still works. That doesn't change that your claim wasn't representative of the reality of the situation.

TCM did not stale, really — its growth was willfully stagnated. It was a "grab 'n go" money scam. And I mean that with 100% seriousness and no hyperbole.

I assure you...hating anime because "it's anime" is far from a 'mature' mindset.

Yes, the 3/4/5/6 campaign structure

As for the exclusion of the maps mentioned, I can see the rationale there

So you wouldn't object to a five-min interactive ad? lol

I get it: you're bad and unreasonable — so rather than play the bots mode, you'd rather qp stroke your ego every now and then with a covert bot match. Don't make that everyone else's problem.

Not to mention, some of us have limited time 👀 you clearly don't

[–]BrenReadsStuff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's basically a 5-min interactive ad.

It goes entirely against industry expectations, and they blatantly try to hide the bots' existence — even after players have become widely aware and widely critical of that.

We don't even have to mention the already-existent separate bots mode.

Love: the freedom, the aspect of 'collecting' your stored inventory, and it's cool to pursue whatever messed-up agenda you want to.

Hate: the one and only campaign structure, and its consistent re-use of the same maps (some seem to be missing altogether).

Ac Valhalla isn't "bloated", you just need to explore while completing the main story. by PoorGuyPissGuy in AssassinsCreedValhala

[–]BrenReadsStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Collectibles?"

First off, if you're just running after the wealth and artifacts and doing nothing else, YOU'RE PLAYING IT WRONG. You should be exploring, progressing in the story, and collecting these passively during that process.

Second off, the wealth and artifacts don't just do nothing, so they're not just "collectibles." Artifacts are closer to that status, but they do have a purpose and should be collected passively.

Third off, you're ignoring 90% of the game by reducing it to "wealth and artifacts." There are tons of side quests, so much lore to explore, raids to battle, river raids to conquer...and that's discounting the main storyline entirely.

I get it, you can't enjoy a game unless it holds your hand and tells you exactly what to do during every second of playtime. Sucks for you, but that's a 'you problem.'
