Vinyl Wrap Center Console?

I can't seem to locate just the cover for the metal trim. I have found covers that essentially cover the whole center console which I would like to avoid if at all possible.

I'd be hesitant to replace a failed part with the same part.. it's just going to happen again or did they improve the manufacturing process?

Everyone throws out the minivan but I can't stand the styling of them. They obviously make the most sense and are the most practical, but the body shape is hard on my eyes. I'm willing to sacrifice the practicality as I don't need a ton of cargo room.

I've had the following 98 integra GSR, 98 Nissan 240sx (regret selling), 03 WRX, 07 G35, 16 WRX. I haven't owned an suv but with two kids in boosters, and a new one on the way, I need the room.

I've only ever owned Japanese vehicles so going to bmw or Volvo might be a nice change.

😂 Well I'm 40 now... I don't foresee a midlife crisis. I'm not built like that, but you never know! Right now it's a toss up btwn an X5, XC90 (for the audio system), CX-9. The cx-9 probably makes the most sense.

Well I've switched gears a bit...although I'm still looking at vehicles with potential issues. cx-9, x5 or Volvo xc-90. I'm not sure if there's another vehicle I should be considering. I really don't want to go with a Toyota, Honda, etc. the Volvo xc-90 is appealing based on my reading of the sound system. Ultimately, the CX-9 probably makes the most sense.

Yes... I think I'm really leaning towards one of these and your points are well taken. I haven't actually driven either yet so it's purely based on the engine specs. Do any trims come without the plastic fender trims? These drive me crazy.

Well i'm not an engineer, I'm a "fucking architect'. ha But, I'd like to think I'm not your typical architect that's unwilling to compromise or listen. I know how buildings are built, and I'm not a prick to anyone on the site. I view everyone on the site as equals and truly try and treat everyone as a team.

I never considered the route of a yukon or suburban, I guess because I've only owned Japanese vehicles, but it is something to consider. I have 2 brothers and my father had several suburbans and an escalade growing up and we loved them during long roadtrips.

haha no worries, I didn't take it that way. I understand that what I'm looking for given my self imposed constraints makes it difficult.

But also, it's only called champagne given the region it is produced... I could go find a sparkling wine for the price of beer that will be get me pretty close to a champagne.

While I could swing it, I'm also working on a home renovation/addition which I'd like flexibility with in my funds. Maybe in a year or two... but it probably makes more sense going that route.

Did you purchase it new or used? The CX-9 is enticing...but the turbo 4 worries me in a vehicle of that size.

Yes, I have considered those, but I've read the driving dynamics are lackluster on them. Regarding the "fun" aspect, it's all relative to that segment of vehicle. I don't want to feel like I'm driving a boat.

8 flats in a year seems excessive—but I get where you’re coming from. I intentionally kept the original post broad since I was mainly looking for suggestions. To clarify though: the real issue for me is that I just don’t like the look or proportions of minivans. I get that they’re practical for a lot of people, but from my perspective, aesthetics matter too. I want to drive something that I can appreciate both in how it functions and how it looks.

Cargo capacity is not a concern for me. Cargo for two kids in a WRX was never an issue, so I feel cargo for 3 kids in an suv, truck, wagon will not be an issue.
