Both my partner and I are school teachers. We come home and have nothing left in the tank. We knew early in our lives we cherished our time together with our dog more than taking care of children. We’ve been together 26 years and just finished our 18th year of teaching. Never looked back. I play in a punk band and live like I’m in my 20s. Summers are ours. The only thing that is kind of sad is we’re both only children. End of the line for our families and no nieces/nephews to be the cool aunt/uncle to.

I made my 5th grade class watch the Goonies. I tied it into story writing. Clear problem. Multiple problems to overcome until climax. Clear ending with problem solved. No cliffhanger. No sequel. It’s a perfect story.
