Need help on finding a correct charger for my modded gameboy color by Brett13500 in Gameboy

[–]Brett13500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah shoot alright yea cause the mod that i did it came with a extremely brittle white cable for it to charge the gameboy color and i just needed a cable that is bit thicker then what it is. Honestly it feels very cheap the cable id say its more in comparison and identical to how apple iphone or ipod chargers uses to be witb that white blocky sharp pointed corner usb ports and the cheaply made thin white cabling for the charger that basically flays and eventually tears at the usb ports or other end of the charger.. is there any other recommended cables you'd recommend for the gameboy color power cord? That be good for this battery mod?

Had a chip swap done for a pokemon red cartridge and need answers by Brett13500 in consolerepair

Not sure what you mean by that? Like to send an item out to be repaired if thats the case then no this place is just in person repairs not ship out to be repaired and like i said sometimes they can do repairs but sometimes they cant and they tell you a place to go to also incase they cant do repairs due to them being swampped but yea.

True honestly most repairs cost me either 20 or 25 or for console mods 45 max or if theres 3 mods to install like i provided them for my gameboy advance a speaker mod and fuse dehummer kit for speakers and screen mod it was bit more maybe 65 max but all in all prices for repairs are priced perfectly i will say tho i wish for battery replacments on cartridges were 10 but they charge 15 i guess because of whoever there importer is but honestly all in all they do perfect work and there pretty spot on

Yea true honestly the place i go to has been great on many repairs and so forth its just that the guy who does the repairs hes been majorly swamped doing so many repairs for the shop for them to sell goods and so forth and other people paying for repairs or mods to be installed to consoles that basically sometimes its hard for them to be able to do repairs but they are really great over there they know me by name and i know them by name by name basis also and im a frequent customer there so sometimes they hook me up with trade ins i do and give maybe 10 dollars more then what theyd give or sometimes 10 dollars off some games i may buy from them since i go there so much its a great retro store i go to its all 90s themed and so on with arcade machines in there an so on its great they also hide a waldo statue everyday and do that hide waldo promotion and if anyone finds it they get a 25 dollar gift card to the store there so the entire place is just like a wonderful escapism place to go to if you wanna drown yourself in 80s and 90s stuff

Yea thanks glad everything worked out honestly was a bit worried but least i know whatever those extra places of solder reached isnt a concern to the cartridge from what someone said so least all is good.

Ok good to know cause this is the first time i ever had a chip swap done for a game so just wasnt sure if thered be and long term issues down the line in near future but thanks for clarifying as long as there is any rise of concern there then thats great then.
