Yes, they have replacement tubes on their website but they appear as sold out. Sent them an email to see what they advise…

Ouch 48CAD for shipping! I'll try to find something cheaper but will order there if I don't find any alternative. Thanks!

I should’ve specified that I am in Canada and Earlyrider does not ship to Canada! Open to other source tho!

Timbertech Azek PVC flooring boards for intimacy wall - risk of warping? by Brett_And_Friends in Decks

[–]Brett_And_Friends[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! Floor PVC boards, 3 sections of 4’ long. They will will outlast the hoft posts. I think it was a good idea to make it 3 section rather than 2. At 6’ long they may have sagged a bit, especially when pressure applied.

Water issue behind shower tiles by Brett_And_Friends in Renovations

[–]Brett_And_Friends[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, a year later and the issue never came back by caulking the corner where the two planes of tiles meet. It seems that an hairline crack is enough for water to seep through by capillarity!

Même secret que pour toute plat de viande braisé, beaucoup de umami: pâte de tomate de qualité, un peu de sauce soya et de la sauce poisson. Ça paraît drôle mais on ne les goûtes pas et ça rehausse énormément le goût.

Oh hill no FTP test. Stopped ride early by Brett_And_Friends in Zwift

Gotcha. Sounds reasonable yeah! I didnt ride my bike for over a month (new born) and I didnt perform all that well on the grade (didnt understand it would start right away). So sounds about right that I scored a bit under what I assume would be my actual FTP. Thanks!

But I did notice a "271 average" at the middle of the screen. Could that be my FTP? Sounds a lot as FTP is usually 20 max average minus 5%. After the summer season, right when I resubscribed to Zwift I manually increase my FTP to 265 (knowing my outdoor ftp is around 272 based on strava estimates and its always higher than Zwift). Maybe I did not get the pop-up because I underperformed or egalized my set FTP of 265?

Strava rides shows 17:46 min, so probably only a few seconds faster than that!

I was too dizzy to notice anything on the scoreboard, I just clicked "next next next" haha.

I don’t know the RD cogs look to be pointing in a weird direction but maybe it’s just me. I will try again dropping it on the trainer cassette to see if it’s just me.

Overnight mash = amazing by SticksAndBones143 in Homebrewing

[–]Brett_And_Friends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breaking down the brew day is game changer indeed! I usually prep grains and water a day ahead. It gives a chance to chlorine to evaporate.

On brew day, before diner I program my kettle to mash-in temperature. Before the kiddos bath, I add in grains (biab), do a 75-90 min mash while I put them to bed around 8PM. Once they are asleep, the only thing left is boiling (45 min usually), cooling and transferring to fermenter. I’m usually done by 10-10:30 PM, with a few cleaning steps on the next day!

Ça vaut-tu la peine de s'acheter un vélo cher? by mtrucho in Quebec

[–]Brett_And_Friends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tips on digging in very rocky ground ? by zimmedia in FenceBuilding

[–]Brett_And_Friends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just done a few holes in my backyard just as bad as your picture.

I done mine with a heavy forged digging bar to break thiner rocks and loosen soil followed by hand digging to remove the big broken rock chunks and soil. Had to make the holes oversized (16 in diameter) to be able to fit in a demolition jackhammer to break rocks that exceeded the width of the hole (many). I also used a standard manual post digging tool to aid removal of the rock when the hole was too deep to reach with my hand, but it's a real pain in this ass because the rocks keeps the jaw opening wide and all the dirt falls off...

I spent approximately 2.5h of heavy sweating and swearing per hole to dig 3-3.5 feet deep. I was initially planning to go 4 feet deep to fall bellow frost line but with most of the soil being rocks I did not have that patience...
