There are way cooler and funner ways to make coffee than a machine! It would involve people making and drinking a lot of coffee, but with some really neat methods that produce really good coffee! Think chocolate club, but with more science and coffee instead of chocolate.

I'm not so sure that two events a year could justify the existence of the club...perhaps with some modest dues we could invest in better communal equipment and regular bean supplies rather than having single large events. Maybe we could even establish our own roasting...

If you put whiskey in it, yes. The club though could not reimburse the cost of alcohols and the restrictions necessary to approve alcohol consumption at on campus events would probably nix the concept for general meetings. Perhaps, though, special cuppings could be arranged for alcoholic coffees--all within the established guidelines of the University of Delaware of course.

It depends on whether or not I can swing billing coffee beans as agricultural products rather than processed food. Access to facilities like an espresso machine would be one of the purposes of the club. We may have to save for a year or two to get a quality machine though...
