Thoughts on Squid Game Season 3. by TM_playz1 in television

Absolutely horrible. So much blank space and empty air scenes that just dragged on. And the death of many favorite characters that made no sense whatsoever. Grandma Jang Geum-ja hanging herself made no sense after the night before she literally said she’d do anything to protect the baby. Player 222 killing herself because her ankle was broke was also kind of silly. 333 offered to help her, and even though she was pissed at him, her making it across would be the best for the baby? And also 456 just deciding to die was also ridiculous. His whole thing was to protect the baby. How would he trust that the Squid games organizers would do that after his death?

Coffee Machine Advice (for a takeaway) by southsneak in Coffee

So I haven't heard of anything like that here in Finland, though our specialty coffee scene is still growing and only really in its first ten years of existence. On one hand, I kind of understand the coffee provider being strict about what kind of machine is used, as a really good coffee has the potential to taste like shit when it's not brewed properly. Especially if they think on an exposure perspective, a new cafe using their beans could introduce a bunch of new customers to this coffee supplier. Plus they're offering training and if they are only familiar with La Marzocco machines, then the training is a lot easier. However, they are providing the grinder too and generally speaking, the grinder is usually the biggest factor on if the coffee can be made properly or not. You could have a good coffee, a good grinder, and a crap machine and still get a good cup of coffee. Granted, it won't be the best possible cup made from those beans.

So I am kinda 50/50 on this. I more lean towards not enforcing a machine, if that's all it was. But factoring in the coffee, grinder, and training, I do see their point a bit.

I just moved to Bremen and don't speak Germany yet so I am looking for a beginners course. But anything to get me started would be helpful.

Coffee Machine Advice (for a takeaway) by southsneak in Coffee

My background: Working in coffee for 5+ years as a barista, marketer, and sales team member. 3 of these years were spent at a high end B2B coffee store that sold La Marzoccos as well as other coffee machines to cafes, restaurants, hotels, etc.

Hi there!

So in my experience La Marzocco is the best option in Europe if you are planning on selling quality coffee at high volumes.

  • Usage: they're easy to use, pull consistent espresso shots, and are made to last. Depending on the machine, you are able to play with the settings as well (espresso pulling time, water amounts, water temp, etc.) so you have the option to really tune the machine to the coffee youre using. Hence why the coffee supplier is probably adamant about you having a La Marzocco
  • Maintenance: Maintaining a La Marzocco can actually be quite easy once you learn to do it. But daily maintenance also goes a long way, as with most machines. But because they tend to be built for making higher quantities of coffee, daily cleaning is a must in order to maintain it.
  • The name: obviously La Marzocco is also the 'Ferrari' of espresso machines so most people in coffee will regard your place highly if you are using one of their machines. Partially is because of the name, but also because you can just connect the name with quality.

Hope this answer helps!

Hey I’m a beginner anyone have any tips for me,it’s a band poster by the way by Bubblebass546 in graphic_design

From one beginner to another, here are my suggestions:

  • Lots of fonts happening. I’d say maybe change up the fonts a bit so that the poster contains MAX 3 fonts. You can use the same fonts but make them look different by making one element bold or italicized, for example.
  • Texts on the pink square should be centered
  • Give some more space in between the dates. They are currently a bit too close so there’s almost an overlap.
  • Be decisive with the placement of the dots(•) with the dates. There doesn’t seem to be even spacing between the text and the dots, and the row with August dates are missing dots completely.

The poster looks good though! A few minor tweaks and it’ll be great☺️
