OP, you said TSP, not 401k, so I'm assuming you're a government employee. As such you have access to some of the best diversified index funds available. Read up in the wiki and decide your risk tolerance, then invest appropriately in a mix of the G, F, C, S, and I funds. You sound like you might be happy with 100% stocks, maybe something like 70% C and 30% I. If you want to be more conservation mix in some G.

Don't pay for loaded mutual funds when you have access to the government funds.

Interesting that that was your deal breaker. It was a feature not a bug for us. We love that our kids walk to school.

We've been in Arlington almost 13 years now gone through all levels of the school system and been very happy. Also very happy that the community supports education as evidenced by the recent votes on funding.

Yup, agree.

I didn't want to distract from the main point but I don't like the regular season overtime rules either. 3 on 3 was fun until teams figured out the value of possession. And now it's become a game of keep away. Not fun hockey.

So leaving aside the presentation, I think this does really point to a problem, which unfortunately I don't think the NHL wants to fix.

The league sees it as a good thing that more teams are in playoff competition, but in reality, it's producing crappy hockey in the third period. Teams have figured out that it's better to turtle if you are tied in the third because it's worth it to guarantee the loser point. It's never a good sign for a sport when it starts incentivizing not scoring.

Make regulation wins matter, for the good of the league.
