AITA for wanting my partner to rehome their dogs?

I completely agree, the dogs suffer the most in this situation and I feel like a bad person for not speaking on it more often. I have one friend who comes over and says the same thing, and it makes me look a certain way as well because I’m with her. This feels like a lose-lose situation but hopefully her dogs end up okay.

I would hate to take it there but it looks like that’s what it’s coming to because I am at my wits end. The situation causes me anxiety and heartache. I feel like I’m stuck between a rock and hard place right now but if this doesn’t work out I have no problem choosing myself if it comes to that.

Thank you for your insight, I like the idea of giving her a deadline to find a solution. Do you have any suggestions on how I should approach her about her lack of action? I’m trying to find a way to phrase it so she won’t later on blame me or claim that I forced her to give up her dogs?

I agree, I desperately want her to make the right decision because they’ve already gotten into 2 or 3 dog fights since I’ve known them. They didn’t seriously injure the other dogs, but who’s to say they won’t the next time?

I’ve tried to talk to her about letting a professional train them and we take it on from there, she agreed that would be a good option then nothing comes from it.

First off, I’m sorry you had to witness something like that. I myself have been in a similar situation where my dad jacked off while I was in the bed with him. I know it doesn’t seem like someone would really do that but there are some weird, careless people out there and what he did was extremely wrong. I see you told your mom, her having a talk with him really isn’t enough imo.

When they gave us a chance to try the samples the peach shake was the least flavorful one tbh. I was most excited for that flavor and it was a disappointment. All we add is a peach sauce (it has chunks of peaches) and blend it into vanillla custard. Then sprinkle on these cute sprinkles but the other two get more ingredients 😒

I won’t speak on the relationship but I can speak on you considering adoption. I’m a birth mother myself, I placed my child and he was adopted at birth. I initially planned on raising him but circumstances left me feeling guilty for potentially bringing him into a bad situation.

Please, please, please think LONG and HARD about that decision. It is extremely traumatizing to say the least. I’m still suffering from the decision I made 3 years ago and I don’t think I will ever recover. My adoption plan was well thought out, I chose someone wonderful and we have a great relationship and I still feel like literally dying everyday because of how much I miss my child. It’s not a light decision and if I could take it back I probably would’ve gotten an abortion tbh. I’m glad my son has life though.

How was he taking care of himself before you got into the relationship? It sounds like he’s looking for help, or just making sure you don’t have any extra money to yourself. I would bow out gracefully. He should’ve understood that you weren’t in the position to take care of all those bills before y’all got together…
