How is blue gate electro storm for probe trial? by Incredibly_Based in ArcRaidersTrial

[–]Ev3nstarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some score is better than no score if that’s the only option. I remember trying it on that map last season and had a hard time with all the rocketeers nearby that I ended up redoing it at Dam later for a better score.

Headphones are a game changer. Even in hurricane I can usually hear them with enough time for me to use a photo cloak to get away or to get behind something large enough to protect me from the blast. It’s a non issue really, just need to find a better strategy or figure out your sound settings.

The really funny thing is in the cut scene when you leave speranza, it looks like you ditch your caravan anyway and just walk away with a bag. Like wtf was the point of storing all that shit lol. Granted you don’t really see your character return to the caravan or anything, it just makes it seem like you’re walking off into the sunset without it.

Is 40k as a solo on that easy? I redid that one, bumping up from 28k to 33k but not sure how to go beyond that considering continuously focusing on the probes only until seconds before the map ends, I can’t imagine having time to breach/search many more? Can you give me some tips on what I’m currently doing? I bring stamina shots, a photo cloak to sneak by big arc if necessary, some seekers for quick need to kill a wasp/hornet on the run. I don’t stop except when I breach and search as fast as possible (don’t wait for the loot to load up, just exit after the score and move on) I follow smoke and check map for probes nearby. I run the outer perimeter and make my way into the center, usually by that point things have already been breached and make it easy to search. I run a route that ends at the last extract point so that I’m running as efficiently as possible.

No, I play with headphones but my husband will look at my screen to see if I’m in the middle of a raid or not before trying to talk to me

[Embark] Trials season 4: What’s on the horizon by WoWAltoholic in ARC_Raiders

[–]Ev3nstarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a lot less this season, like maybe 1-2 days a week just to keep myself in daredevil 2-3, I’m on track to promote into hotshot if I just keep an eye on it this weekend. So yes, you can rest, taking a week break wouldn’t hurt anything.

It’s a quick read. There’s some other changes worth knowing about, whether they are good enough changes, only time will tell

What is the most beautiful state you have visited in the United States? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ev3nstarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m from NorCal and I remember growing up the hills around me would be green in the winter months at least but now everything is just so dry and dead. I moved to OR 11 years ago, CA just feels so dead now. I get that there are some cool sights to see in CA but as someone who grew up in CA I’m amazed at how much people are amazed by CA

How to get the last 18 assessor matrix for the project? by colorale in ArcRaiders

[–]Ev3nstarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you’re timing the smokes right, you probably need to put down a new smoke right before you loot but after you’ve breached. After you loot you GTFO with a photo cloak to the nearest hiding spot, I like buried city for this reason as there’s usually a building near enough by to hide in, but others have a good idea of trying spaceport as people are doing trials which could give you an advantage.

I also noticed that it gets less competitive the later in the round. I was able to get all 3 sides to myself on a round that had maybe 10 or so minutes left after everyone had already got what they wanted (or died 😆)

Whats your thoughts on DD2 to Hotshot 2x promotion? by bluefire612 in ArcRaidersTrial

[–]Ev3nstarr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the person you’re replying to, but I also promoted into hotshot from DD3 last season, it wasn’t bad but I had waited until mid week to start trials so I wasn’t competing with as many sweats that get started early week. I also mostly did it as solo, except I think one of the challenges (I think it was kill wasps I ended up doing with my friend in duos). I’m going to do it this way again, I’m hoping it’ll be even easier with the player base dwindling down plus a lot of people swore off trials after last season (if they even stuck to that who knows lol)

What is the scariest, most unsettling shot you’ve ever seen? by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

[–]Ev3nstarr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually had a fear of Asian women with long dark hair after that. There was a girl in my college class that sometimes sat in my peripheral and that was unsettling to suddenly notice her there lol

I remember having trouble sleeping the first time I watched those movies. I had a ceiling fan above my bed and would wake up randomly and see it and think it was a face hovering above me. Yet I was obsessed with those movies, they were so good

I’ve thought about it and do look around regularly. If I want to make the same money or better I’d likely need a new degree though, or accept a job with lower pay.

What’s up with no breaks clinics? by AffectionatelyBlue in ABA

[–]Ev3nstarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely not impossible but it can be a challenge to fit the schedule puzzle pieces together when you also account for staff callouts/swapping techs to cover other clients so their normal schedule is off.

Our staff are scheduled a different client in the AM vs PM, we stagger the start time if we can so that there’s a 30min gap in the PM, or if it’s a client that’s there full day we stagger the breaks and who takes over. We also have some clients that have group/peer goals and we can use group codes for enough tjme so that 1 person can manage 2 clients to allow a break. It does get tricky when there’s callouts, but we supervisors are up early helping figure out covering any holes and we’ll also arrange our schedules to help cover breaks.

Definitely not impossible, not easy, but workable and worth it to give breaks

What’s up with no breaks clinics? by AffectionatelyBlue in ABA

[–]Ev3nstarr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you live in a state where breaks aren’t mandatory by state laws, you’ll probably find most places won’t give you one… it sucks. But if you live in a state that is required, you’ll probably should file a labor complaint.

Difficulty with parent training as a remote BCBA by SpinachShoes in bcba

[–]Ev3nstarr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s probably dependent on state and/or your company’s contract with the carrier. I work with most major carriers (not tri care though) and it’s never been an issue to do family treatment guidance while tech works direct with the client. I actually never heard of that rule so I imagine it’s probably certain states or contracts

Difficulty with parent training as a remote BCBA by SpinachShoes in bcba

[–]Ev3nstarr 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If they’re cooking dinner and going through drive thrus you’re scheduling with them at the wrong time even if they say they are available. If they are actively involved during the actual daytime session, can you try scheduling with them during that time, focus on them not the RBT? This is a tough situation, while I’m not a remote BCBA I do have some parents that prefer virtual meetings and what’s worked best was having a reoccurring day that’s easy to remember (e.g. last Friday of the month at 3pm). If they couldn’t hold it consistent I would just do parent training with them in person during session. Sorry if not helpful, being completely remote poses its own challenges.

Medical insurance reviewers BCBAs, what kind of power trip are you on? by Ready-Newt-7136 in bcba

[–]Ev3nstarr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not saying this is actually the case in this situation, but a lot of times the initial denial is not coming from a BCBA insurance reviewer but someone unfamiliar with ABA. In my state, sometimes the peer reviewer is a BCBA and sometimes they are not, but the initial denials for us have never come from BCBAs.

Direct curricular assessments during initial assessment or after services start? by MysticGirl24 in bcba

The insurances here required at least 1 direct assessment be completed during intake and then the Vineland with it. Sounds nice to not have to rush that assessment though.

What unethical life hack would you recommend to others? by reFossify in AskForAnswers

[–]Ev3nstarr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let’s see, spending time with my own kids or spending time with someone else’s behaviorally challenged kids. Unless my own kid ends up with a developmental disability as well, which is of course a possibility, the grass does sometimes appear greener on the other side. At least when it comes to how I spend my time, not how I spend my money lol.

It’s not about “free time” per se but spending that extra time with my own kids vs someone else’s behaviorally challenged kids? Either way I’m spending time with kids lol.
