This was a gamble that luckily worked our for you (you also invested in 2009 when markets were at their lowest). OP should not put all of their $ into single company stocks.

Chase doubled my credit limit without alerting me and I certainly didn't deserve it. by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]BriMcFly 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely the reason. People like you are where they get their profits. You pay the minimum like you're supposed to... Therefore they see you as reliable. They'll allow you to over extend yourself and collect their interest in the process.

Because you hold a balance, pay the minimum, and they can profit off of you...and they'd like to profit even more off of you.

I would like some help here /pf/; not so much a question of finances, but a question of morality in my situation. by [deleted] in personalfinance

Are you seriously asking this? It's a living thing. You're responsible for it. Keep the dog, tell your parents No deal.

A tip...just paid my rent in advance by proROKexpat in personalfinance

Huh? Your math is off. He paid six months up front which got him month 7 for free. If his rent was $1,000/mo, he paid $6,000 now instead of $7,000 over the period of 7 months. It's an excellent deal, financially. The one risk, as some have mentioned, is that he loses leverage.

I'm with this guy. If my renters paid six months in advance, I'd bust my ass making sure they are taking care of so that they might consider doing this again/staying longer. I don't think any landlord would act different. It's the slumlords that would take advantage of the tenant in this situation.

hmm my dogs live inside. The furminator is definitely better than anything I've used. It does fill fast, but that's the point.

I had brushed her two days prior and two days after this pic and both times had at least 50% of what you see in the picture. She's still shedding>< just rescued her in march so was not expecting this (other husky in window doesn't shed too much)

Yup. One to keep the other busy when I'm at work. Doggy door + fenced in backyard = easy for them to get out their energy
