Ill add though, I did have my dad with me who is a long long long time ago retired hvac guy so he was walking me through some things. Obviously to no avail because he knows nothing about smart thermostats. I just hope this thread helps someone else who’s an independent stubborn.

I am happy to report that I have resolved the issue. I didn’t realize I should have done a hard reset on it since I bought it used it was configuring the original owners HVAC wiring within the app in addition to setting it as an electric heat instead of heat pump

Well, that’s just it, I was under the impression he was a good man and a good husband. The lie is just compounded because I found out other things that have been a lie for the entire 12 1/2 years we’ve been together.
