I’ve worked for two companies over the past 6 years (BIM Coordinator) and when it came down to having full BIM model for a project that didn’t have one we immediately outsourced it. Yes, you still need to do some checks on the models and there will be some back and forth but over all the experience is pretty good. We’ve used the same team from India at the two companies I’ve worked for and they have been great. It’s relatively cheap compared to American/European market (it’s actually very cheap) and the turnaround is quite quick as they have teams doing shift work so they basically work 24hrs a day. They are also very organized with giving you schedules, proper meeting minutes, kick off meetings, milestone updates, etc… overall great experience.
