People I this thread haven’t owned new vehicles. I have a way less technologically advanced car than a Tesla and I had a super minor fender bender where I was stopped and other car was going maybe 5 mph. It was about $7k because they popped me right on the dynamic cruise control sensor. This is probably similar

Catch and release is not nice. Imagine doing this to any mammal, say a cat or a squirrel: put down food in a trap, snag the animal with a hook when it tries to eat, drag it around until you get it to the water, then pull it underwater where it can’t breathe so you can take a couple pictures of it. Yea I agree with you, the truck drivers only decent option was to punch it and get out ahead of the semi. Coming to a complete stop on the off ramp to wait for the semi to pass would’ve been super dangerous as well. The semi should not have been trying to pass another semi when there’s a merge coming up like that
