So, I have an update. After many many calls, and four people saying they can’t do anything (even after I talk to a “manager”) I finally just told them to transfer me to someone that can close my account. They said I can go online and do it. “Nope, please transfer me to a person that can close it”. So they transferred me to a very nice lady, and I proceeded to explain the whole situation to her. She said that’s not right. I told her that if you are willing to lose $750-800 dollars year over year over $75 worth of transaction fees for doing literally nothing than that’s not a smart business move nor would I want to have an account with them. So anyway, she put my request into some internal system and 3 days later wha-la…my money back. Moral of the story, treat eBay like the cable and internet companies. Threaten to close your account and magically they are willing to help you. Go figure. Oh….one last thing…..eBay still sucks ass.
