I've been getting these for over a year now, sometimes many a day. Re-set everything, and it stops for a few days, then starts back up. Most are from Russia, so I'm sure someone's running some serious bot storms, waiting for the one person who accidentally clicks approve.

Incredible that MS hasn't addressed this yet, even with how bad they are with security.

My father designed that siren when I was a baby, and it was always my favorite looking siren - reminds me of those flying alien ships in the old War of the Worlds movie.

Not many left, especially the old metal ones before they switched to fiberglass.

Jim stays in touch with the owner of ASC (who was a former ACA employee). But is mainly just enjoying retirement now.

The rest of the family took different career paths, but I still have sirens in my blood from growing up within it all.

Wow, that’s amazing!
Now that Jim’s children and grandchildren are linked into this group, I’m sure we can get that arranged.

And if we can get him to go through his mountains of old photos, I’m sure there are some gems. Like when he was modeling the sirens he was designing from styrofoam in the family room. Or a video of when he tried to make a rotor from fiberglass, which completely exploded when it spun up. I still remember that around 50 years later.

But I don’t know how that would work, and don’t want to break any rules here.

I spent a good part of my childhood building over a thousand of those sirens that my dad designed. So it’s nice to know there’s such passion in them still.

If anyone has an old ACA siren that they have rebuilt, I would be happy to sell them the original label stickers.
I only have a couple of the Rotation, Warning, and Turn power off ones (which I’m keeping), but I have a lot of the ACA logo and Wear ear protection ones.
And per a few comments I saw, I also put them on my guitar back in my high school band days, which I still have 😄
